For the last paragraph to become a reality it would take a miracle, if Dax somehow can persuade Punk then he deserves his contract renewal.

Dax went to the Eric Bischoff school of "I will make 3 sentences into 3 paragraphs by means of qualifying statements as to completely eliminate my risk of liability"

Dax went through many mental hoops to find a way Punk is not to blame.
It also confirms even if indirectly that he Page going into business for himself is bs. Punk would have said something straight away.
No wonder Punk lovea Dax ,which narcissist wouldn't love someone that worship you?

I feel like Dax could have paid someone like $20 to make a better graphic than this:

I think I take the approach Alvarez does on WOL and the Bryan and Vinny show. Working a rehearsed match is fine and makes for good TV especially for NXT, the issue comes in that things won't always go as they're supposed to (botch, crowd not reacting) so you need to be able to react on the fly. That's where the planning and the rehearsal are never the problem, it's in not giving people the tools to learn how to adapt. A big part of training should be teaching people how to work through botches. Calling a match and building a match backstage are both talents, both viable, but you overcorrect if you force people into only learning one way around it and especially when the one way people learn it is the one that leaves people unaware of how to improvise or think for themselves. I remember an shoot interview clip with I think Kevin Nash where he talked about how guys would always go to Flair for wisdom and have great matches with Flair because he'd build them great matches, but he never really clued anyone in to the how or why, which left people dependent, and I think that's a big part of why WWE does it that way nowadays. Keep people in the system, dependent on WWE and on their agents, produce talents who can work the match laid out for them and stay only within the lines drawn for them, and then be utterly hopeless if they ever step out of WWE's confines. See, I don't think that WWE does it to limit talents. It's just a limitation of how TV-dependent the modern WWE product is, everything has to be done perfectly both in terms of timing and placement for the cameras that they've probably found it easier to teach athletes how to perform in a cookie-cutter way than how to be traditional "wrestlers", and then teach them how to work the WWE style. It's one of the Vinceisms that I can't seeing change entirely with HHH in charge (which is why I don't think guys like FTR are going to flood back to WWE) but it's also a huge reason as to why we're seeing talents like Bianca and Brekker succeed with early mega-pushes.

Seems like a pretty reasonable take from Dax. If he can get all four to make peace he deserves a massive raise.

Bald FTR is about to get thrown out of Punk’s life. He’s one wrong sentence from being on the wrong end of Punk’s wrath.
This post is a joke, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it comes true.

Well that was all pretty reasonable and I like the last two paragraphs in particular. I'd very much like all parties to be on AEW television again.

FTR has always been pretty clear that they'll go wherever the money is at this point. They've had a great AEW run (and if you go back and look at early FTR threads here they've come a LONG way), and I hope they stay with AEW, but both seem to have gotten what they've wanted in AEW and if WWE offers more money and a light schedule, I could see them taking it. Could also see them staying

If Dax can help smooth things over, he'll be as miracle worker just a few levels below DDP.

I don't like that he dropped Colt's name in the tweet promoting the show.

As someone who thought, and still thinks, this podcast could be a disaster, I do at least appreciate that Dax had a very reasonable discussion about this whole thing Yeah he's Punk's friend, he's obviously not going to bury the guy for the situation, but he didn't bury the Bucks or Kenny either. The fact he wants to work it out for the betterment of the company shows me something. Who knows if they ever will or if anyone else wants that, but Dax trying to be the mediator isn't a terrible thing if there can be one Guess we'll see what the future holds, but it's nice to see Dax say something and not make a total and complete fool of himself, it's nice to know he can do that sometimes

I'm going to have to listen to it, but I'm genuinely happy it sounds like Dax is being pretty nuanced and reasonable about it, and he even wants to help both sides reconcile.

The tweet for context. Just strikes me as really shitty to bring Colt into this again, even as engagement bait:
