She's not without talent having sole writing credits on some of the episodes of the Office's golden years. It's just when people use their art to get back at the people that bullied them at school they come across as very immature and inadvertently reveal why they were targeted in the first place.

Yeah, it's very telling how many negative high school stereotypes are being projected onto Daphne and especially Freddie.

I have a feeling Mindy Kaling's reputation's gonna take a beating through the airing of this show's (most likely) single season.

Oh no the pure artistic vision of Scooby Doo is ruined.
Apathy is death.

This is the part of the show release process that's the most unbearable: the "trailer react videos" phase.
If people have watched the show and thought it sucked that's fine, but you just know most of the discourse right now revolves around trailer reactions, which might be the worst things on the entire internet that don't (directly, most of the time) involve bigotry.

I have no real context of this thread but I’m saying this as a broad thing to people I follow/see views of online;
It’s the year of our lord Twenty Twenty Three. We’re still in a global pandemic to show to us how our lives can be cut in an instant and we should cherish what we do with them;
Why is hate watching still a thing? Executives never see the context for watching, they just see people watching.
If you want to diss on something, go for it. But there isn’t a zero percent chance the fact it’s one of the highest watched premieres is because people watched it to slam on it and we have dozens of cases of this backfiring. So, like…stop it.

Sadly I don't think that first reminder is going to sway certain people. If anything it'll make their belligerence worse.

You can replace it with any other life changing situation for all I care, doesn’t change my overall point. - Signed “Person who won’t get a Season 3 of Dead End: Paranormal Park”

I'm perfectly content to hear about it secondhand. I haven't even bothered to watch the second trailer, there's noooo chance unless word of mouth suddenly gets a hell of a lot better than it is right now that I'm checking the actual show out.

And like clockwork people hate watching has propelled the series to success instead...it's the current top trending series on HBO Max and currently charting as one of the most popular TV series on the service. -_-

Well... can't say that joke was particularly advisable. (refering to the second tweet, I didnt want the first one to show up but the embeds autoamtically do that) Who is this show even for? Because the kind of people who would "get" these kinds of "jokes" are probably too busy complaining about "forced diversity". I saw the exact same screencap and was left with the exact same question; the "zoomers amirite" meets edgy-for-2005 humor seems designed to appeal to the exact sort of people that would be immediately turned off by the United Colors of Benetton casting, and vice versa. It seems somehow simultaneously like a dead on arrival show concept Mindy brought to WB that they just slapped onto whatever IP they had lying around AND like the worst idea for a "current year" Scooby some exec came up with that needed a fall person (for the right price). Ultimately, I think this poster from the previous page put it best: This reminds me of that horrid 'SJW' New Warriors comic from a few years back, written by a straight, white TV writer, where the starting point was 'Who will this irritate and how can we use this to get publicity?' rather than 'Who will actually enjoy this?' They ended up appealing to no-one and this feels very much in that vein.

This is just the same shit as The Emoji Movie where some executive with a teenage kid thinks they can relate with what's popular in culture.

I decided to give the first episode a watch out of morbid curiosity. It wasn't a hatewatch so much as "maybe this will surprise me and be funny." After all, wouldn't be the first adult animated series where terrible trailers didn't do justice to what ended up a solid show.
Whew that sucked. Unless people I trust swear it gets better later on, I'm not bothering with the rest of the show. Basically imagine someone looked at the Harley Quinn show and said "let's do something similar for Scooby Doo, only without anything actually funny and all over the place in who we're supposed to appeal to" and you've got Velma.

Never liked scooby doo but heard all the talk about it and thought I'd give it a shot as well.
That has to be one of the most racist shows i've seen in a while lmao. Literally every single character is a stereotype. Forget being bad to some old ass property, this shit f***ing sucks ass. Genuine bottom of the barrel.

One of the reasons Netflix was quick to cancel shows after 3 seasons or so is because their only way to boost revenue (prior to the ad-tier) was more subscribers, which shows usually stopped attracting once they were no longer new.
