Never caught a single episode. Can anyone summarize what made it so bad? Imagine a show that parodies wokeness, made by the anti-woke dipshits who fester on YouTube. That's basically Velma. Velma is a Indo-Latina lesbian who hates men. Daphne is an Asian lesbian vapid mean girl stereotype with a crush on Velma. Norville is a black stoner with a crush on Velma. Fred is a selfish, over-privileged white frat guy with a small penis. The group's overall dynamic is rooted in who can play the biggest victim card and insulting each other. Throw in shit like making fun of the #MeToo movement, portraying all white male characters as scumbags, with a healthy dose of transphobia, and you've got a show hated by pretty much everybody. In short, imagine Mr. Birchum(another "anti-woke" cartoon with an ironically diverse cast) with Scooby Doo characters minus Scooby Doo for some reason.
Now if you'll excuse me, it's October.
I need to go watch Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School, Zombie Island, and the Witch's Ghost to wash the awful taste of... well, this out of my mouth.

I watched it once, because I was curious what the whole hullabaloo was about. The way I would describe it is if you took a bunch of buzzwords from the past, I don't know, 10-15 years, threw them in ChatGPT, and said make a Scooby Franchise, this is what it would shit out. Incredibly not funny, mean spirited, dreck, that was meant for an audience of the writer and their friends.

Scooby isn't in it, and the other four characters have so little in common with any other iteration of themselves that you could change their names to Jim, Bob, Lisa and Kelly and everyone would just accept that they were original characters in an original series. |

I don't think it's the worst animated media ever made in the history of time, but you will be hard pressed to find an animated show that caused such a widespread universal hatred at its existence as unified as this one did
You really, really don't want to mess with a long standing franchise like Scooby-Doo's formula, especially when you do it so absolutely atrociously as this did. Maybe we should count our blessings that the Flintstones series that'd focus on an Adult Pebbles, "Bedrock", also got shelved by FOX...

No Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon? My friend's little girl loves Scooby-Doo. One time I came to visit and the 3 of us ended up watching that. I had to explain to my friend how one of Dusty's weirdo kids in makeup ditched the makeup and is now WWE champion. |
