Nope, not a s***post, its real. Silent Hill Transmission live stream set for October 19I know the obvious is to make the pachinko or NFT jokes, but truth be told Konami's MO the past few years has been AA games for the Japanese market, with token stuff for the West via Bomberman titles ore collections. In that sense I think these will probably be modest releases (maybe one mobile, maybe one largely funded by Sony) by definitely actually games. I doubt they'll be AAA (as Konami doesn't go in for big budget stuff after the MGSV debacle) but a SH1 or SH2 remake wouldn't surprise me. |

I really just want good ports of 2, 3, and Shattered Memories. Past that I'm good with the franchise being on ice since most Silent Hill games aren't good anyway.

SH 2 is my favorite of the series, and one of my favorite video games of all time, so I'm pretty excited that we're getting ANY Silent Hill news at all.
A surprise announcement that they're going to finish Silent Hills would be nice.

Masahiro Ito is counting down to the presentation on his Twitter and Akira Yamaoka retweeted the announcement so its likely they're involved in something.
For the record, the big speculation for the announcements are
-New mainline title (possibly a co-production with Sony?)
-Remake of older game (likely SH2)
-Spin-off series being done episodically

They brought Suikoden back from hibernation via the 1&2 remake announcement and have kept some IP's semi-active via collections, so my instinct is that these are games, if for no other reason in that Konami is aware that only the audience back home is interested in stuff like pachinko releases, and likely wouldn't be doing English press releases if that's all they were showing off.
Watch me be made to look like a fool when all we get is a Silent Hill Netflix adaptation announcement.
