Look the future of the DC Cinematic Universe is all going to come down to how they handle that Owlwoman movie.

Never seen 84, so is it as bad as everyone says it is? It wasn't awful, but it wasn't like the first one either. That's just my opinion. The "scenario" with Diana and Trevor is a bit jarring (putting it nicely). Pedro Pascal was really good as Maxwell Lord and I thought even Kristen Wiig did a nice job as Cheetah. I think it's worth seeing if you like Wonder Woman, but it is DEFINITELY not as good as the first film. I still haven't watched it a second time and watch most of these comic book movies a couple times at least (even Justice League).

I'll be honest the optics of that doesn't look good. And its gonna lead to some chuds claiming victory over "woke" movies. Like this kind of dampens my excitement for Gunn Have a feeling that Patti Jenkins is going to the dark side (aka the MCU) probably for reshoots for a MCU movie or special presentation

It's really interesting to read the THR and Deadline articles next to each other. They say basically the same thing (although Deadline has the detail of Jenkins walking away) yet the THR article makes it seem like everything is on fire and the Deadline one is more measured.
It doesn't bode well, IMO. It all reeks of a studio that is absolutely not on the same page and is arguing about what is going to happen going forward. Maybe things will settle when Gunn and Safran finally present their plan, but I doubt it.
It's really difficult to get invested in anything DC right now. Half of it might get cancelled and the other half might not matter in a few months. Making a good and cohesive DCU should be the easiest thing in the world considering the comics have been doing it for decades. How is it such a mess?

I forget why she left... I would suspect Perlmutter. Just cause...

Yeah, Ike used her as bait to get Natalie Portman to sign on for the sequel, then once she was under contract "creative differences" happened with Jenkins. That said, "creative differences" have now happened with Thor 2, Rogue Squadron, and Wonder Woman 3, so who actually knows?

Well there is the whole "If everyone you meet is an asshole maybe you are the asshole" bit. But I am inclined not to place the blame on Jenkins. Thor 2 I lay on Perlmutter. Rogue Squadron I dont know the whole story but movie Star Wars spin offs are a mess in general. And for Wonder Woman she has a vision she doesnt want to compromise and the studio feels it doesnt fit with their new vision. But emailing Wiki pages to executives is not a great look.

Never seen 84, so is it as bad as everyone says it is? I don't even know if "bad" is the right word. Its just pretty forgettable. Like, I know I saw it and for the life of me couldn't tell you the plot now other than "something something Max Lord".

I think a pretty significant problem with the movie is it feels incredibly unfocused. It's like halfway through the movie before Maxwell Lord's plan really even starts to take shape, Cheetah while a fun portrayal is pretty much entirely superfluous to the plot, you have the opening that just goes on and on and on while adding nothing, you've got like the giant climactic White House fight except then they just kind of do another one on the satellite for no real reason, there's the whole Diana losing her powers thing that seems to both come from and go nowhere, there's the weird Egyptian aside that has nothing to do with anything but feels like it just goes on forever... It's kind of no wonder it's hard to remember because little of it actually adds up to anything.

If a freelancer in my industry sent me an email with a Wikipedia definition I’d gladly tell them never to contact me again. The most disappointing aspect of this is even a middle school student knows that Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for anything.

Wikipedia's pretty good to form a baseline for what you're looking into, but you definitely want to supplement anything you read on there, both to make sure it's accurate and to get further detail.

Some places will allow you to use it as a source, though it's probably better to just use the source that wikipedia is using isntead of using it as a weird middleman.

I remember hearing there was a lot of headbutting but one thing that really caused issues was that they wanted her to do stuff to help lead into GOTG and she didn't want to. As for WW84. I hated it. Felt it was boring and honestly felt like they combined 3 movies together. Just too much happening and nothing happening at once. Ended up being very boring

I think Gunn is spending more time denying rumors than he is working on the DCU slate.

In before someone says that's confirmation of Ben Affleck.
Who am I kidding, I was probably beat within a minute of the tweet.
