Saw it last night and really enjoyed it. It was Kang's movie and he Jonathan Majors knocked it out of the park. He was unbelievable and I can't wait to see Kang wreak more havoc. At first, I didn't like "new" Cassie but she won me over at the end. I thought the Quantam "people" were cool too. Good start to Phase 5 for me. The post credits scenes were tremendous as well. The CGI was a tad wonky in spots, IMO... so that does continue to be a rough theme for Marvel. However, it wasn't nearly as bad as reviews were saying.

Enjoyed it. Wasn’t bad. There was some questionable special FX and the end was a bit “huh?”. Post credit scenes really selling the future threat. But I enjoyed overall. I’m on mobile so I can’t easily access the spoiler tab so Ill get u to it later With a rating out of 10, maybe around the 7 area Yeah, the end was weird... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}but I think it was, as you said with the post credits scene, trying to get over that Kang wasn't really defeated and everything is "up in the air".

But I thought the critics were all shills on Disney's payroll. I think it's the fact that there has been some negativity put out there about the MCU so these "professional" critics now feel safe to put out the bad reviews they have always wanted to. That's my conspiracy theory and am fully ready to be buried for it. My belief is being a movie critic is a profession and to be professional is to put your actual feelings about the movie you are reviewing and not caring about the "social media backlash" you might get for it.

If I wanted that experience I’d have gone to see Avatar You know what.... I did kind of feel like it was trying to be Avatar at points during the movie. I wonder if that was a factor is some of the negative reviews... the fact this got released so close to Avatar. It wasn't going to beat those visuals, sorry Marvel.

So did Evangeline Lilly like learn absolutely nothing from Gina Carano? Like seriously…just shut the f*** up already. She’s talking about how Peyton Reed called her and voiced his support and the such and how personal and professional lives should be separate. That’s not how it works you idiot. A lot of jobs these days make you sign something saying you don’t do stupid shit…especially on the internet. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Going into this, I thought if they were going to kill anyone off, it might've been her. To me, she isn't that important. As much as I like her in the role, if they recasted (as unlikely as that is), it wouldn't bother me in the least.

This movie was flat out not good, and it’s either a bad start to Phase Five or a fitting end to Phase Four. What could’ve been a cool idea was used to be a set up for whatever is next, and MODAK was put in the category of great Marvel villains who were completely wasted. I also don’t get the Jonathan Majors Kang love that everyone is showing. If anything, we’ve seen most appearances of the character will be meaningless because there are countless others who’ll replace him once whichever version we see in the movie is defeated. The idea of the multiverse just makes everything less interesting because every character is replaceable and every decision can be undone.

Did not enjoy this one.
Some really baffling decisions, some bad story beats, no emotion at all, no real threat and a bunch of waste.
Jonathan Majors played what he was given excellently, in fact I'd say everyone acted to the absolute best they could, but it was just a CGI-fest with no heart.
Disappointing.

It becomes weirdly funny when {Spoiler}Hope is first introduced in this movie as someone who’s using her company to do a lot of goodwill activities, basically being the total opposite of Lilly’s views IRL.

The word it it’s the weirdest movie Marvel has made yet, and that might be the reason for some of the reviews The thought crossed my mind, though it felt too much like what the kids call "cope" lol. I don't think it's a coincidence that the MCU's only two "rotten" scores also happen to be perhaps the most ambitious, in terms of really carrying over the comic book weirdness. I feel like Hollywood has always had a sort of love-hate relationship with the comic book movie genre, but where DC bridged that gap with gritty realism (The Dark Knight, Joker), Marvel sort of towed the line with a faithful-but-not-too-faithful adaptation of lore (for example, playing fast and loose with Thor's godhood until Ragnarok), along with a heaping dose of snark. Quantumania is certainly unrestrained in its weirdness in a way we haven't really seen from the MCU, and with a Hollywood press that is presumably more than tired of Marvel's 15+ year grip on the box office, this is just the movie to end the love affair. This is not to say it's a flawless movie. I saw it twice, and while the action is great, there are certain elements that seem underdone (surprisingly, not the CGI, a welcome change from Phase 4). Paul Rudd delivers what might be his best appearance as Ant-Man, Michelle Pfeiffer finally gets to shine as Janet, and Jonathan Majors' Kang is an immediate contender for top five villains in the MCU. Very fun, very entertaining movie, certainly not among the "worst of the worst". Also, there's two post-credit scenes, definitely stick around for the second one.

As an aside, Quantumania has now dropped to a %47 critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, tying it with Eternals.
Audience score? 84%. And it looks like they'll be ending the weekend at $100 million at the box office. Not to bad for the little guy.

I saw this film a few days ago. Honestly I was waiting for the part where it would turn crap and it never did.
It wasn’t the best MCU movie by any stretch but I’ve seen a lot worse especially in the most recent outings.
My only complaint would be that I thought the ending was a bit weak and I would’ve liked a bit more “show, not tell” in terms of Kang’s dominance but other than that, I had a good time with it.

Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it. Wasn’t my favorite Marvel movie, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. Watched it in a 4DX theatre for the first time and I’m one and done. It moved too much for my liking.

It moved too much for my liking. I’ve seen 4DX for Godzilla vs. Kong, Moonfall, and No Way Home. I think worked best for the first two and loved it. Anything with any sort of plot I’d find it more annoying than anything
