Shocked they didn't mention Hyde at all, even an off cuff comment about him just either not being with the group anymore or being dead in the show canon, but maybe they just felt it easier that he wasn't mentioned period because of what the actor did... but he was such an important part of 70's Show that it's crazy, when Topher and Kutcher both left the show near the end Hyde essentially became the main character.

Meh, the show got all meta and Red is a parody of himself. That 70's show was a bit risque with its humor and outside of stand-up comedians, no one is willing to push the envelope anymore. Not really true at all. Stuff like Abbot Elementary I think has great humor, and pushes the envelope plenty. It's why it keeps winning awards for its writing and how it presents characters It's just a matter of how you present your show tbh.

It looks like this is going to be going the opposite route that Night Court did. Night Court isn’t like…great or anything but it does have one fascinating thing to tune in for. John Larroquette playing a beloved character decades later, having lost loved ones, friends and connection to the world he knew. Literally fighting on the other side of the law because life changed him so much. This is like…member these guys? They’re basically the same…only you’ll see way less of them. Don’t you love it! Reminds me of saved by the bell on peacock. I am not interested in these new kids. They seem like cheap Expies of the original characters. And the characters in really interested in just part time characters

I guess I'll be in the minority. I'm through 8 episodes and I'm enjoying it. It isn't the greatest thing in the world, but for 30 minute sitcom, I'm enjoying it. I agree the kids are a tad weak, but I think they get better as the season goes on and if this gets a second season, I think they will be even better. Kitty and Red are still fantastic and I like the other adult, Sherri.

Honestly I enjoyed it.
Sure, there's a lot of expy stuff with the new kids basically being the old gang. But I think they're trying to go in a different direction with these characters than their counterparts, but using the OGs as a template they slowly gravitate from? I can see it.
Plus, I feel like they strike a good balance of old characters and new ones. Some stuff is for sure 'hey remember this thing', but then other things feel way more subtle. I dunno, I feel like there's a lot of potential here as the cast ages and things change.

I kind of wish it was just about Kitty and Red navigating life without Eric around, honestly. The kids are just a little too young to carry the show.

Two episodes in, not that great and Red and Kitty are the only good parts of the show.

It was OK. It felt like it was written by people that didn't experience the 90s. The clothes, dialogue, and well the overall presentation of the characters felt like they were written by someone who either wasn't alive or was very little during that time period.

I'm now 6 episodes in.
I know she's aged but I'm guessing Laura Prepon had some work done and it....uh...wasn't great.
It's distracting when she shows up

So I finished the first episode. I enjoyed it. Nothing mind-blowing but fun. Although while watching the scene at the liquor store all I could think was "I'm almost positive that Twinkie's boxes did not look like that in the 90's".
Now the end game for this is Leia and Gwen, right? Because based on the chemistry, that really is the only pairing that makes sense.

There's a scene in a later episode and there's a can of Pringles in the background and I'm like "That's the f***ing current can you lazy bums, not the 90s can".

Ok if the show is set in 95 I was 20 and 21 then. So far the show feels authentic for TV.

So I watched episode two. Not much to comment about other then that the theme song really really reminds me of the fake Malcolm in the Middle theme from WandaVision.

Finishing up the final ep of season 1. Decent.
Better than SBTB reboot, about equal to the Punky Brewster Reboot, which sadly got canceled fast.
I see this getting 3 or 4 seasons and gone.

I was 16 in 95 as well. I have not seen the show so I have no opinion of its accuracy. All I will say is the time period may feel very different based on your age at the time.
