One thing that annoys me a lot is how something big happens and then instead of capitalizing on it, the next week there is no mention of what happened or even said wrestlers being on the show.
Saraya wins her big return match on the PPV, yet didn't appear on the next 2 Dynamites. House of Black make a big return, yet they were nowhere to be seen or even mentioned on the next Dynamite. MJF not appearing on the Dynamite after winning the title was a real shocker.
This type of thing happens way too much.

Apparently Saraya needed to get her wisdom teeth removed so that likely explains her recent absence. MJF was also filming something last week.

The guy just needs a full booking committee if he doesn't have it. It's honestly just weird he hasn't built one. He has access to many people who'd be great and who have proven their booking chops (my favorite AEW wrestler Emi Sakura is a perfect case in point), and he just doesn't do it. Like, think about their best big angle: Omega vs. Page. That was interesting (to me at least) solely because of accidents or ad-libs. The emotional heart, Page discovering himself by rehabilitating the lost and grieving Dark Order, was certainly not something devised by TK beforehand to be central and important. And I've heard other people who've said they mostly cared because BTE (and their own knowledge about Omega and Page from events in other companies) filled in a million blanks about everyone's relationships and motivations. The fact that TK doesn't hire people to think about these things and make them part of TV all the time is... I dunno, it's just WEIRD. Why on earth wouldn't he? I've never understood how there's this impulsive, sloppy booker, who quickly grabs and then quickly discards shiny new toys one after another and whose angles always leave multiple dangling threads... and there's all these people saying the problem is his thinking is too long-term. But I think I might have figured it out. When I think about "long term booking plans," I imagine, like, A-->B-->C-->D. Interlocking parts. STORIES. But what people are referring to is just, like, an idea of who the next champ is going to be, and vaguely when the title change will happen. And yeah, it's bad to hold tight to that even when circumstances make it clear it can't happen. But there's a much bigger problem first: there isn't really anything HERE. If your booking strategy is 1. Title reigns are all interminably long, and 2. I mostly just plan my title changes, then good lord, what a boring TV show you're writing, because most of what you're writing is "nothing happens."
