Just because someone says something bad to you does not give you the right to assault them and then badmouth them to everyone and anyone you talk to for a year afterwards. That is not acceptable behavior in real life, nor especially at work. If you think it is acceptable behavior at work, try it at your own place of work and let us know what happens when you are on the unemployment line. Someone being obnoxious to you does not give you the right to assault them. That's it. End of.

To be honest, I am fine with The Elite mocking Punk, as long as they show taste and don't take it too far. Right now, Punk is very mockable. And I think they've shown insane restraint in only referencing the Scrum one time And half of those references were at their expense, like PAC biting Kenny, like really it was all of what they were involved with in that incident I feel like a lot of other wrestlers would have taken more shots, especially those who felt like they'd be the good guys, or justified... I legit cannot fathom out nuclear this board and others places would be if they did though, because look at how insane it is just off people THINKING Omega drank a Pepsi on BTE... |

To be honest, I am fine with The Elite mocking Punk, as long as they show taste and don't take it too far. Right now, Punk is very mockable. Thing is, this time, in almost the same scenario, their first show in Chicago since a Punk mess... they didn't. Almost like they're adults and know when to draw the line and stop. The last time, they did A spot and played A chant on their YouTube show. It's like the Hangman thing, he did 1 thing you can disagree with, Punk replies, not amazing but OK they're even... and the Punk side keep going and going and going... |

And let's be clear here, it's not to say Meltzer doesn't have problems. He absolutely does, guy has no idea how to talk about women's wrestling without coming off as a f***ing weirdo and then there was the episode where he brought that journalist who made those articles about Brodie Lee's death onto his podcast. And I can believe that the guy has his own biases in wrestling that might skew how he feels on social media, but going after him in this sitch? I'unno man.
Especially with other wrestling "journalists" showing their ass extensively.

Just saying you saying the thread has "Outlived its usefulness" when you pushed until the first one got locked was ironic I didn't say anything that was incorrect, either, so I won't go into a personal dig, like you did, and leave it there. Also ironic for someone who is so mad about someone throwing punches to always be the one to throw stones on this forum. This was really unfair. I was simply saying the thread had gone off the rails and was not even participating in the conversation. |

The big problem that I think keeps getting f***ed with is just that a lot of the stuff alleged about The Elite isn't even just hearsay, it's stuff that isn't true, or only comes from CM Punk. He has no actual proof The Elite are the sources of the story and the guys who reported on it have made very clear cases for it not being them and for the rumours having been around a while before. Beyond that it's stuff about Pepsi and it's conspiracy theories about running Punk out or putting Jack Perry up to nefarious deeds. Stuff that's on its face just completely ridiculous or relitigating stuff that's already been disproven.
But then every single solitary thing that the Elite are actually accused of, from snippy comments to politics to talking to reporters and leaking stories, CM Punk is provably guilty of, too. But then CM Punk is also guilty of putting his hands on co-workers. Of some kind of incident that made his boss fear for his safety. That's the disconnect. That's the confusion. There's no conspiracy of secret Punk haters, but there's a whole of people who were fans of CM Punk up until literally a year ago when he pulled the shit he did. Still others who were fans up until a week ago when he finally disappointed them again. There's people who don't participate at all in the conversation up until the point they come in to say somethign inflammatory and shit on everyone and then either get surprised by the fact that people take issue with that, or actually have been wanting that reaction all along and, having successfully gotten it, retreat back into the goblin hole. Like, shit's tiring. People saying "OH SO JACK PERRY SHOULD JUST GET AWAY WITH IT?" when most of the thread isn't even saying that and thinks he should rightly be suspended. People who complained the Elite 'got away with it unpunished' when they came back from a two month suspension. It's circular. It's exhausting. It frankly seems so repetitive, consistent, and framed just right that from some posters it feels intentional because they drop one bomb and vanish for a while without talking to anyone on any other front.

wow i would say this thread has reached it's usefulness here geez we’re not going through this again where it gets shut down because someone decides to be racist everyone can move on and like who they like but I wish people would realize that almost no one in here likes the bucks or liked the bucks as much as we liked punk. there’s maybe one young bucks superfan on this entire board, the group is entirely irrelevant It's hilarious how many people think that having an issue with Punk means you're a Bucks Fanboy or love Meltzer. Most fans barely know who Meltzer is and I guarantee that up until a year ago Punk was way more popular with AEW fans than the Bucks were, even though we respect the Bucks for having such a big role in the company getting going. It's projection, nothing more. People with blind fanboyish defenses of Punk turn around and project that onto other people by calling them blind fanboys because they've got no other defense for his behavior. This whole thing has become a weird social experiment in how easy it is for people to get indoctrinated if the smiling face on their TV tells them what to think. They'll absorb incorrect information and defend it to the death. Anyway it's 3:30 AM, people should go to sleep instead of squabbling over nonsense on here.
