Was Russo also behind G TV, more specifically where Marianna is claiming Chaz assaulted her? I feel like he was gone before then but if not him, who else could be behind this? That was before Russo left and, yes, Russo was behind it. You might be misremembering him being gone as GTV continued long after he left without it being properly resolved. Goldust confirmed on Twitter a few years back that it was always supposed to be him but then he left for WCW and they just kept it going. It was pitched backstage at one point following Dustin' departure that it could have been Tom Green behind it all (which isn't that farfetched as MTV and WWF still had a very close relationship at that point. However, this would have been around the time Tom Green was hospitalized with his very publicized bout with testicular cancer, so he wouldn't have been available regardless. I think it might have been Bruce Pritchard that said once Vince got around to watching some of Tom Green's stuff he didn't think he was funny and nixed it lol

Like, if anything, Brian Gerwitz had more to do with The Rock than Russo did and he built such a connection, Gerwitz now works for The Rock. Agreed, along with Pat Patterson being a Rock mentor. And Bret Hart for watching out for Rock when the Kliq wanted to bury him. Coming soon, Russo takes credit for John Cena because he looked at Cena one time.

Russo setting up the Brawl For All just for the loudmouth bully Bradshaw to get his ass beat is a level of pettiness that I almost have to respect.

Coming soon, Russo takes credit for John Cena because he looked at Cena one time. Russo takes credit for Rock, Edge & Christian, the Dudleys, and Chris Jericho getting over. Jericho says he was a guy Russo pushed to sign from WCW and is thankful for him for the that, but the common denominator for all of those guys is Gerwirtz (though the Dudleys may not like being linked with him) but Jericho also takes credit for seeing something in Cena before Vince did and even says in his one book he convinced Vince not to fire Cena.

Brawl For All is funny as hell because JR and whoever else actually thought that Dr. Death who didn’t have any legit amateur wrestling experience in the last 20 years or any real combat sports experience ever and about a million miles and injuries by that point was going to roll in there and whoop everyone’s ass. Brawl For All is one of the biggest failures of all time. Thanks Russo and company. lol What gets me is that even if it had gone as they hoped and Doc steamrolled everyone, how does that set him up for a main event run with Austin? Everyone who was in the thing was lower card guys who weren’t doing anything of any importance. That’s why they agreed to do it in the first place, it was a spot on TV in something that was getting weeks of airtime. So he would have beaten a bunch of guys that no one saw as contenders with nothing but, “Hey, but this time it was real!,” to make it special. Just start by having him squash those guys in actual matches, then run roughshod over a few guys the fans gave a shit about, then see if you can steal a PPV main event. I’m a big fan of Doc, but it was the wrong era and the miles had piled up due to the Japanese style. And man, Austin would have eaten him alive on the promo end.

Ironically Russo now is recording a podcast If I wanted to spend $10 for terrible, bigoted takes in a LI accent I'd go buy 3 PBRs at the dive bar down the block

Someone needs to pull a UWF and book a Jobber named Vinnie Russian or something. Vinny Rusco. His schtick is that he does all those comedy "I'm going up for a big move, except I'm not and it's just a basic strike" spots. He'll pump the crowd up for a suicide dive, run full pelt towards the ropes, then stop dead, lean out, smack his opponent and shout "YOU GOT SWERVED, BRO!"

This is - what - his seventh or eighth new podcast series before his inevitable falling out and split from whoever is foolish enough to work with him?

What this is telling me is that Russo is in desperate need of money at the moment and is scrambling to find some, any grift that'll make him relevant again.

I guess he could do stuff like, "Here's Vince Russo on a pole!", "Here's Vince Russo holding a beaver!", and, "Here's Vince Russo holding a pinata!" but I do very much doubt there'd be any kind of market for it. Hell, even the Cena NFTs didn't have a market.
