17: Gotham Knights
I’m easy to please, I guess. It took me some time, but I really enjoyed this game. A little grindy to beat the end, not nearly as good as the Arkham series but still a very a solid game. I really enjoyed when jolly co-op’ers dropped in and we did things as a team.

109. Skullgirls
I'd been kind of meaning to pick it up on the Switch for awhile (already had it for a long time on the PS4, though admittedly don't play it much) and been kind of waiting for a good deal and hey, it's $5 right now, that works. Dunno if I want to pick up the season pass or not, since even on sale it's like $20, but we'll see, in either case was fun doing a run of it and the Switch seems like a good format for it. Plus the credits music is always a bop so there was that to look forward to.

110. Panel de Pon
Kind of looking for something light to kill some time this morning, can't seem to get up and moving, so figured whatever, knock out a ran of Panel de Pon. It's sort of funny, the Switch Online games have both it and Pokemon Puzzle League but I'll still be hyped whenever they put up Pokemon Puzzle Challenge down the line.

111. Kirby's Adventure
Kind of just felt like something quick and kind of mindless to play to kill a couple hours, not a lot to it. Game definitely shows its age compared to other Kirby games, if only in the weird delay on using the powerups and jumping and how slippery the movement feels (plus its very frequent lag), but it's still pretty fun.

12. Persona 5 Royal
Second time finishing Royal but first time playing it on the Switch. It holds up really well with only a few obvious on screen differences to how it looks on the PS4. Thoroughly enjoyed playing it again and sinking another 140 hours into it.

(3.75 / 5) Yeah, it's biggest flaw is that it's not as good as Arkham and people expected it to be. It's second biggest flaw is that the gameplay loop is really repetitive, (they may have fixed this since launch I don't know) but it seemed like I Was at that damned boathouse literally every night.

23. Smackdown vs. Raw 2010
I suppose doing one of the "Road to Wrestlemania" paths should count. I beat Mickie's path, but I saved on two different films knowing that there were to take, like choosing to go with Natalya or choosing to go with Brian Kendrick. I beat both of them. Now I started on Randy Orton's "Road to Wrestlemania" path.

21 Ender Lilies A really beautiful looking Metroidvania that I had alot of fun with. Some really tough bosses but stick at it and you'll crack them. The map isn't as detailed as other Metroidvanias (it's just squares linked to other squares) but it's colour coded to tell you if you've collected everything and tells you how many exits they are twitter.com/X_Burnside_X/status/1730412039070470331?t=Y8TB1jFunLC5DL8ePgJCXA&s=19

Yakuza Kiwami. Excellent game.
Quick FYI for those interested, pretty much all Yakuza titles(excluding Like a Dragon, 0, Gaiden, Judgment) are on sale for 5.99 on the PS store til the 21st.

112. Batman: Arkham City
Been playing it on the Switch, much better way to play it than the Remastered version since it's based on the lot more stable (and personally, better looking) 360 / PS3 version. Did have some errors along the way (mostly the bars in the museum were invisible until I quit and reopened the game and there were some occasional texture loading delays), but by and large it ran quite well, rather happy with this port. It's a game I'm very fond of in general, though I don't think as much as Asylum, so was fun revisiting it even if it has only actually been a year or two since I last played it.

Really good, it's crazy they were able to make a full Zelda game on the gameboy.

Lost track but since July i've beaten Super Mario Wonder, Sonic Superstars, Red Dead Redemption, Kirby Forgotten Land, Kirby Return to Dreamland, Sonic 3 and Knuckles using Amy and Amy and Tails, Final Fantasy 10 and Disney Illusion Island. Also played Pokemon Shining Pearl up until the final area and noped out after realising how much more grinding i needed to do.
Next up is Luigis Mansion 3.

113. Captain Toad: Treasure Trackers
Been wanting to buy the game for a bit and thanks to redeeming my Microsoft Rewards points then doing some trading around, I did! And that's that beaten.
It's a fun game, but is definitely thin on content, the sort of game I wanted to have but didn't want to spend money on so hey, that worked out conveniently. It's a good breezy time killer, though I do think the game is hampered somewhat by the fact it ends on by far its shittiest level.

114. Process of Elimination
Goddamn I ended up loving this game. Kind of picked it up on a whim because it was on sale and it had my attention as a fairly blatant Danganronpa clone (down to the main character pretty blatantly just kind of stealing Shuichi's design) but playing it while quite obviously derivative of DR it kind of immediately establishes a lot of its own identity and does what it's doing really damn well. It's a great game, loved the cast and found myself very invested in it, though I do think it has a tendency to kind of telegraph where it's going before it gets there. I spent most of the game largely weighing between four potential options to be the Quartering Duke and of them one was correct and three more were adjacent and also hiding key parts of the story, so that does kind of tell you something about how the game can be rather predictable. Still, the writing itself is great, really dug the cast and it felt like the story actually had a point to make. Plus when you do eventually really get to see them in action the Quartering Duke is a wonderful villain.
Really it kind of says a lot how much I enjoyed this that I kind of outright hated the actual gameplay parts, which are kind of this wonky board game thing that involves a lot of precision that borders on flat out luck (and weirdly is by far at its hardest in the midgame) and gives you no means to back up and undo your mistakes short of either failing or quitting out and loading back in, and the game doesn't give you a chance to save at them so you often have to use the skip text to get back to where you were, and I still am super enthusiastic about the game as a whole. Super recommend it, just maybe keep a guide open.

22nd game of 2023 completed. Nine Witches Family Disruption. Picked this up when it was on sale for less than 3 quid. A fun point and click style adventure (without the actual point and click mechanics). Humour is suitably crude ("is my penis inside or outside my pants" "it's inside" "oh dear, cause I'm pissing now"). A bit of 4th wall breaking fairly often, which I'm not really a fan of as it tends not to be as funny as the creators think (who show up at a point or two). Sprites and text can be quite small too. About 6 hours to complete so I got good value. twitter.com/X_Burnside_X/status/1733513627054076151?t=DpOWdlKSkCjTXsZtliA0Bw&s=19

13. Final Fantasy XVI: Echoes of the Fallen DLC
It's a little short but is fun. The final boss fight is gloriously batshit as the best Final Fantasy bosses are.
