I really want SHO and YOH to get it together. Roppongi 3K maybe did everything it could do, but breaking it up seems to have been a colossal dud so far.

I'd argue that SHO can still be salvaged quite easily (the guy is simply too talented not to) but YOH... is boring. Nothing about him really stands out (not really that charismatic, no presence to speak of, is a good wrestler in a sea of great ones, doesn't even have that one move that could be his calling card...) and all his good stuff as singles came more because he was in the ring with someone who was really really good than because of him. Quite frankly it should've been YOH turning heel and have SHO keep going as he was and both would probably be better off at this point. |

Stipulation has been added to Kingston vs White. Loser can no longer wrestle in a New Japan ring.
This looks to be how they are fully writing off White as it looks like he's WWE bound.

Adding a loser leaves the company stipulation two days before the event is a hell of a way to write off Jay White.
I get it though. I suspected he was only booked for this show so that people would think he might not lose the last match. But it is a sloppy way to write off a main event player full stop.
It also basically means WWE is next. That’s the only place he could go where it would make any sense for New Japan to cast him out completely. They work with AEW.
The countdown to Jay White in a program with the Miz is about to begin in earnest.

If I were advising Jay, and he were going to WWE, I'd tell him to learn under HBK for a year.
I think Shawn could really "tighten the screws" in Jay's presentation.
