Cody keeps beating the allegations and I love that for him I feel like we're at the billionth time someone said people would boo Cody like they did over in AEW, and his cheers just get bigger and bigger instead. He's the company's top babyface now and there's really nobody coming close. |

They’ve kept a ton of characters strong enough that they’d be able to pivot to another compelling story/feud . Yeah I'm sure they would but like, it does t wash away the stink of ruining the biggest show of the year just for a nebulous match that may or may not happen. Overlong builds are usually terrible ideas if they're predicated on a specific match happening at a specific time. Could you imagine if WM2000 had happened as it did but we never got the Backlash payoff? Because that's what this feels like to me. |

The only way Cody would win us if:
KO interferes
Sami interferes
Jimmy interferes
Jey interferes
Solo finally gives Roman the spike
And the END of the bloodline and the beginning of Cody. Would it damage Cody too much if 5 guys all intertwined with this storyline helped Cody end Roman?

Steve Austin was coronated as the man at WM14 off the fastest count you’ve ever seen by someone who wasn’t actually the referee. Mick Foley’s legendary title win was off of Austin’s chair shot, not his own finisher. The idea that the big title win HAS to be definitively 100% clean… It’s one of those things that isn’t as necessary as it might seem as long as the crowds are hot for it. |
