I'm sticking by that it was dumb. He had no reason to even say that, and it didn't come off enough on camera that he was really ready to pay them back, but that was also undercut by Brock destroying him on the same show

Not really a shock that was a Vince meddled RAW because it wasn't receieved well lol

Minus the Lesnar matches, which were fun but still a detour, a time-filler, I still think he's still over ***despite*** his Wrestlemania booking not ***because of*** his Wrestlemania booking. Maybe he could have been even more over than he is now if he had beat Reigns at Wrestlemania 39? But we'll never know. And there's been nothing with the Bloodline that couldn't have happened if Roman wasn't the champion.

Eh, yeah Cody should have won at WM but he was never a bitch. People on this forum really ruined the idea of what someone means a bitch really means. Like, someone losing a major match doesn't qualify. If you lose a lot of major matches yeah but shit, Cody Rhodes? Nah. The idea of Cody being a bitch seems to be some weird "Cody's back in WWE after being in AEW and he lost haha he's a bitch see guys he's a bitch because he left and now this" thing rather than anything factual. It's weird. I'd get it if Cody lost the Reigns match and then went to a super midcard program but they put that guy against Lesnar and they're keeping him hot. It's a lot different than say I don't know, Nakamura who's the supreme bitch right now.

Still I think Cody winning would have made more sense. With that said they've somehow kept him over and surely enough when they set up Cody/Roman II at WM it'll be insanely huge.

It's like the Becky/Bianca thing. We all crapped on it but they somehow made their rematch amazing. It shouldn't have happened but their rebound was impressive.

The Mania build was, "Your dead dad loved me more than you," then he lost to the same shit everyone who faces Roman loses to despite actually thinking to have backup and having just hit his finisher multiple times, then the next night he just went, "Yep, I lost, you were better, rematch please? No? Well okay..." Over or not this character is pathetic until he actually beats Roman because, like, the story isn't finished and as it is our valiant hero just went, "Oh well, a setback, I'm too much of a professional to do anything about this!"

And really I don't expect it to ever actually be resolved because I'm completely under the opinion that if they do the match at Mania Roman is winning again.
