As awful as a decision as it would be I think a lot of us have that sick part of our brain that wants to see the reaction if he lost. I'm done flinching though. That's not gonna happen. He'll win but they'll try terrify people into thinking he might not.

I can see Jimmy interfering and being taken out by Jey. Then later Solo breaks up a pin and everyone is like "no way, not again" then this time Rock stops him. So the match features Jey who represents the beginning of Roman's run, Cody obviously the end and Rock who will be his big match post-title run. Maybe you try fit Sami in somewhere too since he was such a big part. Like all the available guys who Roman has screwed surround the ring and watch the final couple minutes of the match to make sure no new Roman family members pop up again. They could even do the Bret Mania 10 roster celebration after.

I'd argue the exact same outcome as WM39 would be worst (got Reigns beat, Solo spike, job), because it would mean Cody hadn't learnt a single thing.

This whole Bitchhalla thing started off rather tongue in cheek, never agreed with it despite the WM39 loss. But if Cody loses at WM40 as well? I think it'd be hard to argue against it.

Are we talking his credibility is completely shot? Or can he be salvaged yet again for a potential Rhodes vs. Reigns 3 at Wrestlemania 41?

I'm not worried, he is definitely winning the title at Mania. 

Cody wins at Mania with Rock as ref/enforcer/around the match somehow as "will he stick with family or do the right thing" guy, Okada comes in to be built up as some type of Reigns/Brock/etc. big boss hybrid for later and Cody loses the titles to Gunther months down the line too. If he were to lose at Mania, I don't even want to see that as someone who usually embraces chaos, even stupid chaos. I want to see him win the big one, no other options are on the table and I have faith they'll do it.

The biggest thing giving me pause right now is Orton. It's so obvious they wanted to keep the door open to do a proper Reigns / Orton singles match down the line thus not doing it at the Rumble despite advertising and building it that way... which suggests to me that even just, "Orton loses via cheating and gets another shot later," was too much for them in terms of hurting the match. Thus it makes me wonder if they'll want to keep the belt on Roman until they can do that again because it's a big title match they haven't done yet.

Considering they’re down a few stars (Rollins with his injury, Lesnar with his current issues), I wonder if they throw a bag at Reigns to work against Orton at Elimination Chamber in Perth. OK, yeah, he’s not advertised or planned right now, but they never knew Lesnar was planned until they were told that he was before he suddenly wasn’t.

I don't do bets, and I won't do bets.

But I'm expecting them to tease that Cody makes it past Jimmy and Solo interference, only for Jacob Fatu to finally show up (Booker T is pushing for WWE to sign him) and turn Cody into a Rubber Chicken yet again.

Something that means no, or at least much harder to do interference, and allows for Cody to bleed and the match be full of gaga, given Roman barely actually wrestles anymore and so most of his interesting matches tend to be gimmicked up.

It also means different to last year.
