Y'all been saying Cody's cooked for two years now, and he comes out hotter and stronger than ever each time. Let's see what he's got cooking before we get to the doom and gloom For the record I love Cody and don't think this'll hurt him with the fans - casual or not. They know what's up. That's entirely different from hurting the story. This shit will now have a very unsatisfying ending or an ending that won't be as good as it should have been because it had to be pigeonholed and complicated. The story is the big thing. Business? Drawing power? Whatever. They're tangential interests and discussion topics to the show being good. There's a story being told, a story that's had a lot of hitches solely on the idea it had to end a certain way, and now that wya has been yanked away, and whatever's in its place doesn't seem nearly as satisfying a payoff. This is a storytelling medium, a story going completely tits-up is the main thing that sucks here and it's a pretty damn reasonable one. |

Dwayne already wanted it and they felt they now needed it as well. Felt this was better to change the news flow away from Vince. Cody was the plan. Dwayne was going to face him later, maybe next year's Mania, maybe Saudi. Shit happens with Vince and Punk, the Vince thing ends up worse than they thought and they changed the plan. I literally didn't know until yesterday that it could change and then I was told it's under lock. But 100% it was Punk vs. Seth and Cody vs. Reigns until Punk got hurt. I'll believe it IF it happens. So does Cody win the title from Seth and prematurely win a world title before beating Roman or does he come up short again? Both options kind of suck. Either sucks but him taking the title from some dude whose back, leg, buttcrack, etc. is absolutely not a face move. He would look like complete shit taking it from Seth who is hobbling around. If he loses to him it would be at least funny and give Seth a W against Cody. I'd rather watch Eagles fans follow around a horse. |

It's not nonsensical when it ALWAYS HAPPENS in the WWE and when it comes to Roman's title reign that has been the exact scenario and ending for over FOUR YEARS. I legit don't know what to tell you at this point dude, your cope on the situation is still an admission that WWE blew this storyline because even if Roman vs Cody happens at EC, he got f***ed out of Mania. They should be ashamed of themselves for giving into The Rock. F*** him too for this. I'm not admitting to anything because I don't think they've blown anything. Just so I can be clear…the story everyone is so mad isn’t getting finished is the one where Cody made up his father having a photo on his nightstand holding the WWF title he was too stupid to understand doesn’t change hands on countout? And then did his fake cry and said he can’t put the title in his father’s hands anymore but he can still win it?

Thinking about it, this COULD backfire if Cody loses momentum/crowd support and then doesn’t get back to the same level of overness. If they can keep him where he is and he finishes the story at a future date, then it’s hard to say he’s been ruined or anything. They did it after Mania 39. We’ll see how they deal with this and how it works. He’s still pretty much the face of Raw moving forward.

I appreciate people trying to be positive, but I also don't blame anyone for being down and expecting the worst. HHH has changed some things for the better, but WWE is still the same in a lot of ways. Shawn would never have let this happen. |
