I was ok with Sting losing to HHH. He should have won, but he was facing another legend who had a few years less mileage on him. The worse offender was Sting losing to Seth Rollins. The way it was set up made Sting look like complete garbage. Seth had to fight two matches back to back. He fights Cena first and loses. He should be easy pickings after being battered by Cena. Nope! Rollins beats Sting despite the deck stacked against Rollins.
Sting losing to Trips would have been a lot less damaging had Sting been able to get his heat back by giving Trips a proper comeuppance; Trips wins by cheating but after Sting wails him with the bat and Trips runs off like a coward. Instead Sting and Trips hug it out and the next night Sting just casually shrugs it off. Trips and Steph never getting a proper comeuppance was one of the biggest drags of The Authority storyline. Agree. The Authority storyline made me quit watching for a few months. Stephanie was the worst because she would completely emasculate all the wrestlers and nothing ever happened to her. She was trying to be "Mr McMahon", but "Mr McMahon" constantly got one-upped by Steve Austin. It was a perfect fantasy of being able to beat up your awful boss. Stephanie was just a reminder that you are powerless against your boss and rich people always win. I have no idea why they thought that would be good television? Who was target their audience? Millionaire factory owners?

Millionaire factory owners? An old idea of mine for the time the authority was going on: Steph throws her support behind a heel diva, setting up an underdog story of a face stepping up to plate to challenge the chosen one. To stack the deck, Steph brings in a still white hot Ronda Rousey as the special guest ref, complete with a lot of promos talking up how she and Ronda are buds because they are both strong, independent women. During the cap off ppv match Ronda counts three for the underdog hero. Steph gets in her face for it and goes for the slap-Ronda blocks it, grabs her arm, and pulls her down to the mat for the armbar as Steph screams at the top of her lungs. Trips grabs Steph’s foot and pulls her out of the ring, the two of them scramble up the ramp like thieves in the night. Ronda holds the hero’s arm up in victory while Ttips looks on furiously and Steph weeps while clutching her arm.

Another unpopular one but Reigns/Lesnar at WM34. Literally put 4 more months on a reign people were done with a year before and the match was getting shit on no matter the outcome. Pull off the damn band-aid.

You could fill this up with Triple H opponents.

CM Punk at Night of Champions 2011. Beat me to it lol. Pissed me off at 12 years old, pisses me off now at 23. Overbooked garbage with the quasi-retired guy going over the hottest act in the company at the time for what? So stupid. Even dumber was having Punk be all buddy-buddy with Hunter and teaming up with him at Vengeance only a month later. To this day I still have no idea why they snuffed Punk out for an HHH/Nash match Punk's heel run was solid but DAMN they could've had more from a top face run.

Bret Hart should have beaten Yoko to retain the title at WrestleMania 9. All of that Hogan nonsense afterwards was unnecessary and set the company back an entire year.

Here's one that could have been interesting. Luger beats Yokozuna at Wrestlemania X but then loses to Bret later that night. Next night on Raw have Luger and Bret vs. Owen and Yokozuna and then Luger turns heel on Bret and now you have Bret feuding with Luger and Owen until Summerslam.
