Writing out Beefcake to put Warrior over at SummerSlam 88. Dude was massively over and would've benefitted greatly from ending Honky Tink's reign. Not saying Warrior shouldn't have won the title, btw, but that was the wrong situation to do it in.
Pick a time between 07-09 and you can make a case for Cryme Tyme, especially when they were aligned with Cena.

1984 back for a month Hulk Hogan didn’t face enough adversity. Iron Shiek should’ve retained.

Bob Holly should of beat Brock at RR 2004. He should of beat him and then beat everyone! You complain about Roman being champ for 3 years. Well this would be year 19 of Bob’s reign.
The true boom period that we needed.

![](https://s1.dmcdn.net/v/B3tK1EVGhexP0BbB/x1080) 100% serious This is around the time when ol' John started getting "mixed reactions". That said you could probably use Luger multiple times in this thread. Flair thought it was more valuable to put over his buddy Barry Windham for the title, than to put over a red hot Lex Luger. this one right here, dude should've won that triple threat with jericho and i'm still mad about it

A potentially unpopular one, but I think Charlotte cheating Becky out of the 2019 Rumble would have made Becky's Mania 35 win feel that much more satisfying, and made some of the story beats play out more clearly. Becky attacking Charlotte/Ronda at Elimination Chamber and qualifying for the Mania match at Fastlane hits harder if we think there's an actual chance Becky doesn't make the match, and hadn't already been added to it before being taken back out again for the sake of troll booking.

I disagree. Charlotte being inserted for no reason gives Becky a legitimate gripe... her losing the rumble she's just complaining for no reason.

The original (for me, at least): After months of enduring insults and having to go through the rest of the Heenan Family, Big Boss Man should have won the IC title from Mr. Perfect at WM 7. Makes even less sense when you learn off Bruce Pritchard that Ray Traylor was one of Vince McMahon's personal favorites.

Nah Becky had to win. After all that just to have her not win would've made her look really bad. Especially with her also losing to Asuka earlier which means she would've lost twice in one night. Not a good way to present your current hottest star. Charlotte just simply didn't need to be involved. They should've have just had her beat Asuka for the SD title instead of doing it on SD before the show. Becky and Ronda was where the money was. I know people will say they needed Charlotte for the match to be good but I don't think so. If they booked Becky and Ronda in some kind of No DQ match or something where they could use smoke and mirrors it would've been perfectly fine.

I was ok with Sting losing to HHH. He should have won, but he was facing another legend who had a few years less mileage on him. The worse offender was Sting losing to Seth Rollins. The way it was set up made Sting look like complete garbage. Seth had to fight two matches back to back. He fights Cena first and loses. He should be easy pickings after being battered by Cena. Nope! Rollins beats Sting despite the deck stacked against Rollins.
Sting losing to Trips would have been a lot less damaging had Sting been able to get his heat back by giving Trips a proper comeuppance; Trips wins by cheating but after Sting wails him with the bat and Trips runs off like a coward. Instead Sting and Trips hug it out and the next night Sting just casually shrugs it off. Trips and Steph never getting a proper comeuppance was one of the biggest drags of The Authority storyline.

Makes even less sense when you learn off Bruce Pritchard that Ray Traylor was one of Vince McMahon's personal favorites. I think a lot of it was Perfect had already played hot potato with the belt with Tornado. Back then they didn't do a lot of title changes and they probably felt Perfect needed more stability and needed to keep the belt even though story wise it made more sense for Boss Man to win it. So they had Boss Man win by DQ so therefore he still technically wins the feud but Perfect keeps the belt. I get it but personally I think they should've just had Boss Man win it and then have Perfect win it back a few months later after interference from Mountie to add more heat to that feud instead of just two guys beefing over who the better cop is.

Still pissed about that match and I made sure to make the drive to see his eventual title win over Del Rio but they dropped the ball on that one. I’ll also eternally say Wade Barrett should have won the title from Orton at Survivor Series and fired Cena anyways. Who cares if he was still a little green? Dude literally only needed to make it to Mania to get destroyed by Cena. I’ll die on that hill.

That's why I said it had to be Becky being cheated so there's a grievance. Especially as in the way the actual storyline played out, there was basically no follow-up to Charlotte being added the way she was, as Vince then went into the Kofmania storyline instead. Which also lead to strange storytelling choices like Becky's crutch to make her look like an underdog cause reasons.

Speaking of ECW (which WWF was bankrolling at the time so it counts) - Al Snow should have pinned Shane Douglas for the title at Wrestlempalooza 98 as not only was Snow massively over, but Shane was injured and about to have surgery that would put him out of action for the larger part of the rest of the year. By all account WWF gave the blessing for Snow to win the belt and had a verbal permission to defend and eventually lose it, but Heyman still bafflingly stuck with Shane. I was a huge fan of Al at the time and thought he should have won that one, too!

Things I'll never stop harping on: the fact that Cryme Tyme never got tag titles in WWE proper is absolutely awful.
Idk about a specific time they should have gotten it but still.

Not putting the title on RVD in either the Fall of 2001 or Fall of 2002 seems like a big mistake. They could have created a new big time star. The dude was super over, but then after he came up short in some big title matches, he seemed slotted as IC title for life. By 2006, I think that ship had sailed and he looked like he was going to be a transitional champ for Cena and/or Edge whether he got wellnessed or not.
