I just don't think wrestling is a healthy environment for Jeff, but maybe that's what he has decided is best for him. I personally, have no interest in watching him.

Coming from a family who's had their share of issues with addiction, I have to be honest and say I'll always have a soft spot for people trying to recover.
The reality of that stuff is that sometimes it takes 40 tries. Sometimes it just takes one, but all I know is I'm rooting for the guy. Here's to hoping he's finally got a grip on this thing. I'm just glad he never killed anyone like Sunny tbh.

I'll always have a soft spot for Jeff (like a lot of people here, I'd guess.) I really hope that he can remain sober and healthy.
I have no idea if wrestling will help or hinder his sobriety but I hope he's making the right choices. I personally have zero interest in seeing him wrestle again, especially as I can't see him being willing to slow down.
Sting is a great comparison, I think. He's done some crazy high spots since coming back to AEW, but if you look at the construction of them, the majority of them have been really safe. Doing a simple splash and being caught by a group of wrestlers looks impressive but is about as safe as a high spot can get. Jeff is probably going to be throwing himself off ladders again and that really isn't going to be good for him.

It was never a question of "if", but rather, "when?". As has been said, dude isn't gonna leave wrestling. I hope they make him slow down this time and not have him doing nothing but spotfests like last time.

I really, really hope this is a successful last chance saloon for Jeff, I do but I think it’s time he changes finishers, seeing him wince after doing the Swanton wasn’t good, his body just can’t hold up to do that move anymore He was wincing running down to the ring.

I hope for his sake that he truly is on the right path this time.
But we have been here way too many times before. Everytime we think he's conquered his demons he ends up going back to old ways again.

Nah, I’m done with Ol’ LSD Face. Impaired driving ain’t something I take lightly, people I’m close to have lost loved ones that way.
I was entertained by his work in WWE and elsewhere, but I can say the same about Ric Flair and I never want to see him as an in ring performer ever again. The memories are fine enough.
Dude needs to be far away from anything or any environment that’ll stimulate those urges.

I can't fathom the logic of "what we need right now to give this company a boost is Jeff Hardy." He brings nothing to the table other than liability. I'm not defending the decision, but he's getting big pops, he's got new merch people are already buying, and he popped the ratings quite a few times when he had AEW matches If he brought nothing they wouldn't have brought him back, the reason he's gotten so many chances in his career, is because he does bring something to them Again, NOT defending the decision, I'm just seeing why they did it. I'll concede that he provides a short term gain. However, at this stage of his career, he is a side show attraction that can come out to jump on someone, or vice versa. He doesn't need to be going over anyone that could use a rub. He likely won't be involved in any meaningful storyline. He won't be anywhere near a main event. At the very least I will say any juice you can get out of him at this point is not worth the squeeze. I fully support someone getting clean and doing a full Jake Roberts turn around, but he literally just got out of rehab after nearly going to prison and he's doing swantons again.

Let just hope Jeff Hardy doesn't do any Scrum meeetings. Scrums bring out the worst in everyone.

People have some really dehumanizing opinions about addicts, don't they?
Not saying that's everyone, or even most people, with reservations, but some of the shit people say about Jeff can get really gross. Please do not bring that attitude if any of your loved ones need help.

After giving some more time to think about it: I rather not have Jeff out there because not even talking about the addiction, his body at this point is ravaged. Dude's bump card has to be the most overflowing in the business. That Swanton was rough and you see it after his landing that dude was in pain. I honestly just hope he doesn't hurt himself or anyone else.

I don't at all fault Jeff for being an addict. That's a constant difficult struggle, it happens, there's no shame in it. I do abso-f***ing-lutely fault him for the fact he keeps driving constantly and for the times he wrestled while completely out of it and just kind of peacing out in the middle of his last WWE match for no apparent reason.

Honestly I'm of the opinion that Jeff relapsed in part because he was miserable when he left WWE and then was in pain because he decided to fit every dream spot into a small period pf time. I will admit a lot of my reservations (most likely unfairly) are because I get the impression at times Matt is trying to push his brother too soon because the Hardy Boyz are really the only time Matt gets an extended push anymore. It's not fair to say that admittedly but there's something uneasy to it for me. Now sitting on it for the night, in fairness to Jeff, he was clean for 10 years before a DUI in 2019. So my hope is working a lighter schedule and not trying to do every dream spot in linke 2 months will be better for him

Not a fan of this and I also hope we leave the Broken/Woken universe alone. Matt has been a weird case of just there throughout his entire stint in AEW and I do not think the rehash is the way to go.
Truthfully I don't know what the hell to do with Jeff but as a former functioning alcoholic of 20+ years that is now 4 years sober I do applaud his drive to get back in the game...
I just hope enablers do not treat him like a victim throughout his healing and Jeff is able to come to terms with what he was doing to himself and others
I learned quickly that old relationships and hobbies etc need to go to form new coping mechanics...Hopefully he is able to adapt. AEW's lighter schedule should help.

It makes sense from a business perspective. But that doesn't mean I like it. I also feel for Jeff Hardy's own struggles as an addict. I just hope this doesn't eventually lead to yet another relapse and that he can stay clean.

His return already has over 400k views on AEW's official Youtube while nothing else from Dynamite is over 200k and most are under 100k. He's still Jeff Hardy, one of the most popular wrestlers of the past 20 years. It's why Punk will surely be brought back too and your Hogan and Flairs still get gigs. Wrestling is always desperate for anyone that can give even a slight ratings boost even if it's short term. People have some really dehumanizing opinions about addicts, don't they? Not saying that's everyone, or even most people, with reservations, but some of the shit people say about Jeff can get really gross. It's not fair to say that admittedly but there's something uneasy to it for me. During one of those con panels last Wrestlemania weekend, so a month or two before his arrest, he outright said that Matt was overworking him and on top of AEW on Wednesdays he was accepting indy bookings on the weekend too. Now granted, Jeff is a grown man. If he doesn't want to do random indy shows/conventions he doesn't have to sign on for them.

Probably best to keep him out of ring for a bit and have him just be ringside, even cutting a promo here and there I think we get the 8 Man in a few weeks, I'd give The Firm some wins over Matt and Isiah before then to build them up a little
