It really is rich to try to pretend like $170 million for Dynamite and Collision vs. the rumored $200 million for those plus the PPVs isn't a massive rise above expectations. Shockwave being able to be shopped around separately and the PPVs being a separate deal are likely going to make this far more lucrative and far more secure for AEW than what the initial rumors were suggesting.

I started watching wrestling in the summer of 1998. And I just want to bring that up because my earliest memories of Eric Bischoff are doing a brutal parody of the Tonight Show with Jay f***ing Leno before wrestling him for no gate in front of a bunch of drunk bikers all so he could go to the rally for free on Time Warner’s dime.
And yeah, Kevin Eubanks did a pretty okay Diamond Cutter, so Eric Bischoff is a genius and I trust every opinion he has on AEW, a wrestling promotion which has lasted longer than Nitro’s entire lifespan.

The PPV aspect is probably worth 30-40 million per year I’d guess so it’s not too far off. If they do 150,000 buys per show for 9 shows per year at $50 each, their net take on that is likely around 33-34 million per year. |

Otherwise, he's literally done nothing that moved the needle in the wrestling industry this century if you consider the fact that he was sent home from WCW in 1999. |

Basically this, they get money from FOX, they get to potentially bring DARK back which is VERY missed, ROH can go somewhere else since WBD wants nothing to do with it They lost 30 mil a year to potentially just... gain that and more in other avenues, imo they dodged a bullet with this exclusivity shit. |
