If true Swerve is the right guy to reveal the news. 'Big Pressure Is A Birthright.'

I would love it to be true because it’d mean the business gets bigger for everybody. I’m still not sure why Fox proper would want AEW if they weren’t happy with SD ratings, though. I get its cheaper content than WWE but the reality is that comes with lower ratings, too. It would have to be FS1, no? This is not meant to be a knock on AEW, either. I’d be shocked if they got broadcast.

Plus fox would pay less for right & aew fans wealthier based on most data, so higher ad rates.

I still think Swerve meant Fox in general and not the OTA Fox Network. Mostly because I don't know where in Fox's schedule they'd even have a show.
That said, a regular FS1 show and even an occasional network special here or there would be huge for a secondary American company. Like imagine Battle of the Belts on Fox and it's treated like an actual major event instead of an also ran after Collision.

He said fox cause smackdown is gone It could mean: - Smackdown is gone so it's particular slot is vacant for Aew to fill - Smackdown is gone as in wrestling content from the entirety of Fox channels is gone so Aew is replacing that content in an unspecified place in the Fox family of channels. I feel it's the latter thus probably FS1. I'd love to be wrong. He used the term Fox (instead of FS1) possibly for convenience as he was addressing Flip and his 1million+ viewers. Deliberately leaving the possibility of it beating Fox proper encourages speculation and buzz.

FOX has an inventory of ads that were amassed for pro wrestling and presumably have nothing to do with them now. This is where AEW would come in, it won't do anywhere close to Smackdown but nor will it cost even in the same ballpark. So I don't think broadcast deal outside of primetime is IMPOSSIBLE, but I'd still lean towards it being an FS1 deal. If you look at FOX's lineup during the week, there are a lot of modest rating shows outside of primetime. Look at the fast nationals for last night (finals will go up a bit), Crime Scene Kitchen at 10pm did 1.063m viewers and 0.16 in the 18-49 rating. Last week's Rampage did 0.12 on cable.
But when Swerve says FOX, he could just as easily mean FS1. Hopefully he hasn't jumped the gun there and set AEW up for a letdown if they announce FS1 or something. FS1 is still a commendable deal, especially if they could negotiate the occasional broadcast TV special, but it's not the FOX deal Swerve made it sound like. Having the shows also air on Tubi would also be good.
If AEW got on broadcast, one option could be to place Shockwave after their new Friday Night College Football games, which have been blowing Smackdown ratings out of the park (and FOX has been gloating about that in PR releases). Last Friday's game did an average of 4.213m viewers, which was 81% higher than what Smackdown was delivering a year ago. Big drawback is they finish very late in the night, I think around 11:30pm. But you're getting a huge spillover audience since those college football games grow their audiences. The aforementioned game peaked at 11:15pm to 11:30pm with 5.066m viewers. So Q1 of Shockwave during CFB season would probably be like 3m viewers, lol.

If they get big fox, I'm assuming it'll start in the early part of 2025 (and then move to fs1) in the falls because fox has college football in that smackdown slot these days and will likely keep college ball there for a long time.

The only issues I see with a Fox show are would they allow promotion for Dynamite and Collision and the TBS and TNT Titles. Like I'm sure they could say "On Dynamite/Collision you'll see..." but without giving the day and time that isn't a great promotion. I just can't see them allowing those titles at all, no matter FS1, Fox, Fox News, or whatever channel they end up on. They could get away with TNT if the design on the title wasn't tied to the network since Dynamite and TNT are synonymous.

AEW could always rename them the AEW TV Title and AEW Women's TV Title (or just keep those belts off the show). I prefer titles branded with the company name instead of a network name anyway. FTW, TNT, TBS, ROH titles just seem to muddy the waters for me, especially when AEW is still an upstart brand where its name should be the priority. Did FOX have issues with WWE promoting Raw, NXT and Peacock PPVs?

I could certainly see an outcome where they get on FS1 but get access to things like prime time specials on network Fox. Then again, getting a spot on the big network isn't impossible, either, so we'll see. It's definitely true that Fox has a lot of advertising meant for a wrestling audience stocked up, so they're going to be looking for ways to utilize that. Also figuring that at bare minimum the deal with WBD will be mentioned on the 5th Anniversary Dynamite; wondering if anything else will be mentioned with it as an "everything got finished up on Monday, here are the fun details we couldn't tell you about before now!" segment for the audience. PPV deal with Max? Fox announcement? Whatever it is, I'll go ahead and put a shiny nickel on them talking about it on Wednesday. FOX has an inventory of ads that were amassed for pro wrestling and presumably have nothing to do with them now. But is it also possible he meant it more generally, as in "Smackdown's gone so now the Fox *family of channels* doesn't have wrestling"? Sure! We'll likely know, soon enough! Stop acting like people aren't talking sense, both outcomes are on the table now but something said in a casual conversation shown on Twitter doesn't tell us anything for certain, especially given network Fox's current programming and the seeming lack of spots available.
