Sean Ross Sapp on The Hump: The [AEW] pay per views will be on Max in some capacity. It was hinted to me that if you have Max you will be able to purchase pay per views in some capacity." Says more details will be made available later on Fightful Select Noooo

Shit, if Zarian says it’s imminent that might mean it’s two more years before it happens.

You're all gonna look silly when Tony Khan's announcement is just that he's bought the rights to Timecop and is going to remake it with AEW wrestlers.

Keep an eye on 4PM ET, that's when market closes and when some of this stuff is known to happen.

I honestly think that if you subscribe to MAX and still have to pay for PPVs that is loss for AEW. There isn't enough of a reason for me to get MAX when I can still use my parents' Dish account for Dynamite and Collision for free and continue to avoid the PPVs as I'm broke. A monthly MAX sub and then a PPV fee just seems like paying for a full price PPV for me.
Yep. Fail boat for AEW And WBD.

"Furthermore, AEW live pay-per-views will be available on Max later in 2025 at a discounted price per event, with all marketing and promotions of those events exclusively centered on Max."
Well I don't like paying anything, but I do like "discounted"
Would be really nice if they could match the prices in the US to comparable international markets.

There is not really that much detail in the Variety article but at least it's done and dusted.
FINALLY

Works for me since I already sub to Max, so discounted is still better than 50 a month for me. Plus the added fact I can just drop my cable all together since Ballys is dropping Cardinals games and now I can just watch AEW on Max in 2025.

Such a pity that Variety broke this news right as AEW is dying.

I get Max with my AT&T service…whatever this discounted rate is it’s still a net positive (for me at least) If I end up switching providers and having to subscribe stand alone? Still a net positive IMO because it’s still (likely) cheaper than $49.99 a pop. Could it have been better with a WWE/Peacock-esque set up? Sure. I’ll concede that argument. But still a net positive overall and, I’m guessing, a total package that puts them into the billion dollar range. Not too bad for a ‘failing’ “t-shirt company.”

For those wanting the bang bang gang points:
- Multi-year deal with WBD for Dynamite and Collision. - contains "enhanced distribution rights across social platforms as well as building opportunities for additional AEW programming for linear and digital platforms in the future.” - Live streaming and On Demand on MAX - PPVs "at a discount" on MAX starting "later in 2025" with detail to be released later.

Let's check in on anti-AEW fanatics/E-drones/grifting podcasters and see how they are all taking the news.
