That's great! Now if they can start to sell some tickets. Don't you have Hangman action figures to rearrange?

That's great! Now if they can start to sell some tickets. Fantastic immediate pivot to a negative point, I’m impressed lol Moving goalposts must be excellent exercise. I'd get into it but I love tacos too much.

That's great! Now if they can start to sell some tickets. This argument doesn’t hold too much weight for me for the simple fact that for the seating set ups they set these arenas up for? They sell just fine. Take, for example, the show I was at earlier this year (the infamous “the bucks showed The Footage” episode)….that arena, for a basketball set up, holds about 10,000…for a concert probably in the 11-13,000 range. The set up they used only required something like 3500-5000 seats. None of the upper decks minus one or two sections were even opened from the day the went on sale up until the show was on the air. And the exact words from a venue employee to me that night when we discussed the seating set up? “They sold out pretty much the entire building…at least 90% So, yeah, they’re doing just fine.

C'mon guys, do we have to fall for the bait and repeatedly reply to it every time?

Max subscriber so was really hoping the PPV's would just be folded in, question now is how significant is the discount.

But I heard from Headlock Head Shop dot org that AEW is going out of business, who are these clowns at a low-rent rag like Variety?

I honestly think that if you subscribe to MAX and still have to pay for PPVs that is loss for AEW. There isn't enough of a reason for me to get MAX when I can still use my parents' Dish account for Dynamite and Collision for free and continue to avoid the PPVs as I'm broke. A monthly MAX sub and then a PPV fee just seems like paying for a full price PPV for me. Yep. Fail boat for AEW And WBD. I get Max with my AT&T service…whatever this discounted rate is it’s still a net positive (for me at least) If I end up switching providers and having to subscribe stand alone? Still a net positive IMO because it’s still (likely) cheaper than $49.99 a pop. Could it have been better with a WWE/Peacock-esque set up? Sure. I’ll concede that argument. But still a net positive overall and, I’m guessing, a total package that puts them into the billion dollar range. Not too bad for a ‘failing’ “t-shirt company.” No, I should say I say that in a complete selfish way. This is a great deal for AEW, it just isn't for me, lol. I'm living off YouTube, my parents' Dish anywhere and the new 6 dollar Netflix plan because getting disability for a crumbling back and a brain tumor is a ridiculous prospect for some reason. It would be nice if it cost for the low Max tiers but was free on the Ultimate. I could maybe swing that but such is life.

Max subscriber so was really hoping the PPV's would just be folded in, question now is how significant is the discount. The MAX live tier is already an additional paid add-on, so I assume this is similar. It really comes down to the price. If we get $10 per PPV, then I am fine with that. Especially because you can share log-ins with MAX, so you can split the cost with friends.

Awesome news. I hope it is a good discount because Triller has been hooking it up for a while now.

At the very least I do love knowing who to block.
Currently at work, network won't let me check the articles and cellphone is kinda shitting itself right now. Does the Max deal include live Dynamite, Rampage and/or Collision? Need to know if keeping AEW+ in Triller is worth it.

Nah, let RJ City have a shot at booking a full promotion and see if he can work magic there like he did with Toni and Mariah. Depends on a lot; RJ's never booked a whole-ass promotion, to the best of my knowledge. Delirious is also good, though; I think his booking got a little tired after awhile (as most bookers' approaches will after any lengthy amount of time), but when he came back post-Marty Scurll's firing he was booking ROH really well into the pandemic run and immediately after. I still kind of hold Bully Ray responsible for some of the bad 2019 decisions, though I could obviously be wrong about that.Bully Ray's booking started the previous year, Supercard of Honor 2018 (the show with Cody-Omega and Dalton-Scurll) when Delirious was having burn out and took a step back. Bully pitched himself well enough to Sinclair that his temporary assistance became the overwhelming final voice. It all comes to a head when the ROH of May 2019 is unrecognizable from that of May 2018, but in revisiting between say February 2018 and June 2018 there's already a tonal shift in the show and the structure becomes very mainstream american wrestling. That's probably why once Bully was *gone* gone you saw such a dramatic improvement so fast.

The grift won't go away. It's going to shift to "ticket sales are low and ratings are in the shitter, so AEW's going to get cancelled only XX days/months into their TV deal." Just be ready. Nothing will change.

Even though it’s official, I still hope TK announces it on the show tonight in the most insane way possible.
