Scott D'Amore is right there. He apparently has a really long non-compete clause, which is why WWE or AEW haven't snapped him up yesterday. Weren't those just ruled unconstitutional in America?

The PPV's are still a significant source of revenue for AEW so I can see why they wouldn't pull a WWE Network and use them as a loss leader. Hope the discount is nice though.

Delirious works for Impact, so no. Got Jimmy Jacobs and RD Evans, though. Scott D'Amore is right there. He's over at Maple Leaf Pro. AEW will be working with them.

THANK F*** THAT’S OVER! These threads can finally be pea… The grift won't go away. It's going to shift to "ticket sales are low and ratings are in the shitter, so AEW's going to get cancelled only XX days/months into their TV deal." Just be ready. Nothing will change. God damnit, I hate how right you are.

Sort of...my understanding is that the FTC promulgated a rule banning non-competes, but preexisting clauses applying to "senior executives" were allowed to remain in full force and effect. D'Amore probably qualified as a "senior executive," so I'm guessing his non-compete is still being enforced if there is one. EDIT: The FTC's Rule is also apparently non-final and currently being litigated in Federal Court.

Glad the deal is done, but I'd like to see more details. If there's no streaming archive and/or if Rampage goes away, that would kinda be a bummer for me. I love the Friday Night wrestling double header, even if not much important happens.
PPVS on Max at a discount will be interesting. Hopefully it's a significant one.
All in all, glad it's done and they can move on into the future.

I wish it would.

At the very least I do love knowing who to block. Currently at work, network won't let me check the articles and cellphone is kinda shitting itself right now. Does the Max deal include live Dynamite, Rampage and/or Collision? Need to know if keeping AEW+ in Triller is worth it. Phone decided tu unshit itself, so I was able to read it at last. Bummer that live Dynamite and Collision are US exclusives, but hey, it's still a hell of a deal, and AEW+ is still carrying the load.

Even though it’s official, I still hope TK announces it on the show tonight in the most insane way possible. He does the full Goldberg entrance including piped in ‘Tony, Tony’ chants and then when he gets to the top of the ramp he cuts his usual weird energy style promo announcing the deal. Then sets off a years worth of pyro.

By announcing the liquidation of assets at an estate sale in the place of Wrestledream, because the company is in bankruptcy and is going to have to bulk sell boxes of QT Marshall t-shirts and office chairs to pay its debtors, which include God himself.

What does this “shockwave” show that I’ve been hearing about contribute to any of this, is it replacing rampage? Is a rumor? Why was Rampage/shockwave not mentioned in the new deal? Is it cancelled?

I think it's safe to assume that Rampage not being mentioned means it's going away. Shockwave is a show that is rumored to go to a FOX property. The current thought is it'd be a Tuesday or Thursday show. No word yet if it's an hour or two hours or what.

Yeah so it's $150 million per year but it could have been $160 million. AEW in the mud.

Okay I think PPVs were $60 last time I got one, WWE had a 60/40 split on PPV revenue, so at best AEW was getting $24 off of a show.
Individual AEW shows on Triller look like they ran $30 so that would be the 24 plus 6 to Triller.
I can't see them going lower than $15 because some money will need to go to MAX and 10-12 would really destroy PPV revenue and $24 isn't much of a discount, imo. So I think $15-20 week be the price range.
Oh and something about you having 141 1/3 chance of beating me at WrestleDream

Rampage seems to be all but confirmed to be ending but the reason Shockwave wasn’t mentioned is because Fox and AEW are still in negotiations on what the show is and when it’ll air so that’ll probably be an ongoing thing.
