The day finally arrived and it couldn't have been better timed.

What is ROH's future? Will it be offered outside of WBD? Is it worth continuing if there isn't a TV deal when you could use AEW Dark for more AEW-brand exposure in its place?

What happened to the stuff about AEW also being on TruTV? Not that it's a big deal.

Overall, unless TK just doesn't give a damn about money, this deal and the extras to come (PPV revenues, Shockwave likely deal with FOX, ticket and merch sales) should make AEW comfortably profitable. And you just know most of the revenues will be put back straight back into the company. Hopefully that includes an improvement to marketing and live event strategy.

His information was never the problem. It was him throwing out timescales that weren't met so he threw out other timescales... that were also not met.

In theory, Shockwave potentially becomes the A show, or at least sharing that role with Dynamite, as it wouldn't be in a 9pm Friday night death slot. Rampage was booked hot at the start, but eventually became the C level show, even before the arrival of Collision.

Zarian's problem is being vocal and confident that talks were as close to the finish line as far back as two years ago. And hell for all we know, they were in fact that close, but with the clown show that WBD has been for the last year, things got pushed and pushed. I believe Zarian has sources, and he's been right about a lot of things. It's just the "any day now" posting that was his detriment.

Yeah, if Shockwave is on FOX, it's the A show. Honestly, I'm just realizing "Shockwave" isn't so far off from "Smackdown" and I wonder if that's by design. I'll take the tinfoil hat off now.

Ultimately, this means a major American wrestling company besides WWE will be profitable for the foreseeable future. Which in turn means more places for wrestlers to get a decent paycheck and make a living doing this wrestling thing. Also means more bidding wars to get top names. This also means WWE can't afford to get complacent or treat talent like crap for the near future.

The winners in this are the wrestlers and the fans. Even WWE-only fans benefit from competition keeping them honest.
