Nitpicking but I wish such an important part of the storyline had happened at a Smackdown/Raw or a PPV that isn't one of the Saudi shows that many of the fanbase can't/won't watch. Credit where it's due to the Saudi fans, they are much more active and loud than they were for the first few Crown Jewel events and that might be because they are getting more than glorified house shows to satisfy the Prince's nostalgia now. Pop would have still been a lot louder elsewhere though. Imo the Saudi fanbase deserves a big moment to experience live just as anyone else does

I guess Cody can’t beat the whole bloodline so at Mania he will beat just Roman. Which has been done. Yeah Roman loses all the time. Oh wait..

Roman getting stinkface’d would be a hell of a way for this angle to go out

So we've been wrong all along. They haven't been building up to Roman vs. Rock—they've been building up to Roman vs. Rikishi!

I love long-term storytelling and a lot of what they're doing here is fantastic but there is such a thing as dragging a story on for too long.

Between Rikishi and his sons, Smackdown’s parking lot about to be more dangerous than NXT’s.

It's hard to call what they've been doing long term storytelling though... as like there hasn't been any story telling... baically we've had like 3 chapters stretched over 1000 days ...

The problem the storyline is having is, they didn't have a conclusion booked before they started. When they started the MegaPowers, Vince knew Hogan v. Macho was Mania 5. So you could tick boxes all along. The surviving members of the family should have been involved ages ago, but it didn't happen, except the Rock. It seems like they've been dangling this along, hoping to get the Rock for well over a year.
I'm still enjoying it, but that's because I know well enough to not torture myself by watching every week.

No, the problem is that they DO have an endgame in mind, but they'll never get it, but they're still refusing to believe that they can't make it eventually happen. They want Roman vs. Rock for the Titles. That's the endgame they want. They've been chasing it for 2 years now, and rumors have been planted that they're STILL chasing it for WM 40. And all because Rock is too soft-hearted to tell them that it won't ever happen.

A nice aspect to all this is that all Roman had to do was not be a sadistic brute against Owens at the Rumble. If he simply defeats him and is done with it, then Zayn likely stays loyal, the Usos don't lose the tag belts, and the Bloodline remains strong. One act of petty cruelty is slowly leading to his ruin. That as well as starting to mentally torture Sami because he lost an inconsequential tag match against Cena and Owens. And even the Usos losing the tag titles shouldn’t be that big of a deal. Sami and the Usos are the reason he’s been champ for almost 3 years but his ego couldn’t handle them losing

Supposedly, he keeps telling them he _might_, even though otherwise he doesn't ever do anything that makes it look like he actually would.

It's nice to see something finally happened after 3 months. I'm not holding my breath though. I'm half expecting that in a few weeks Jimmy will be back in the fold and Roman will be on vacation until Summerslam. I hope that's not the case, but they've burned us too many times on this.
