Wait...If SD is on US in America, will it still be on TNT in UK? Or would it be on Netflix? One doesn't really have to do with the other as those are all separate negotiations. So...No answer then lol.

Until then, either Raw and Smackdown will keep airing on TNT Sports or they will move to WWE Network in the UK like NXT did a few months ago when it left TNT.

Makes sense. It's doing good there so you might as well keep that audience watching that day too.

How big are we talking, though? Current main roster main eventer big? There’s a sweet spot you gotta hit where it’s someone people like and want to see on the show, but at the same time, it isn’t seen as a demotion or a waste of potential for them that they’ll be anchoring the farm system for a while. Which is why I’d suggest sending Orton there. Yeah, he’s literally the most experienced full-time guy you have, but he’s as popular as ever, and he seems to have legitimately matured into an elder statesman of the sport that might have something worthwhile to give back as he nears the last few years of his career.

If they’re serious about NXT becoming a third brand rather than developmental when they move to The CW, then I wouldn’t be shocked if they draft a really big name from the main roster — someone like Randy Orton immediately came to mind as someone who could be a solid veteran leader for the rookies in NXT who still has plenty of cache as an in-ring performer to put eyes on the show.

I'll agree with the sentiment that sending someone like an Orton or even a Sheamus down to NXT will do the brand some good. As I said before, the show will practically be on Network TV, you can't get away with being a developmental brand anymore. Sure, yes, debut people there to get work but at the end of the day, you're choosing people to put on TV every week you feel are ready, those people need to be at a certain level and you need to make the brand look on par with Raw and Smackdown. Anything else is honestly wasting the opportunity.

USA Network has a much higher average viewership than CW does (like 600K, 0.2 compared to 300K, 0.1). www.nationalmediaspots.com/stats-us-cable-broadcast-tv-network-rankings.php

Yeah, The CW counts as network, but it’s barely one. I think they air 2 hours of non-news first run programming 5 nights a week. The network has never been profitable, basically survived for years on its deal with Netflix, it’s a lateral move for NXT at best and arguably a downgrade from USA. I bet you 50% of people couldn’t even tell you where to find it on the dial

I dont think NXT will have any problem to do better than the CW primetime average viewership. Even with no main roster stars.

The NFL is also coming to Netflix, airing Christmas games for the upcoming season. Wit Raw coming to Netflix in January, Netflix ain’t playing in these streaming wars!!!

Well for what its worth, Fightful Select mentioned last month or so that the plans are to build NXT on CW around Trick Williams and Giulia as the public figures of the brand.

It's more that the NFL is spreading the wealth around the streaming services. Not like the NFL is going to be exclusive to Netflix like Raw is. They're just getting a couple of Christmas Day games while Amazon and Peacock have far more substantial deals already in place.

The CW has confirmed that NXT will continue to air on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM eastern when the show moves there this fall. I think we're going to be losing the NXT overrun out of this with the move to CW, since programming will have to end in time for the local news on CW affiliates.
