I'm hyped and since this is releasing on the same day as Persona 5 Tactica...also soon to be very busy and very light in the wallet region.

I really hope they have the original as an unlockable or something. It'd be a good way to get it on the Switch without having to potentially sink sales of the remake in the process and this one looks like it's changing enough that I'd like to also have the original as an option on the same console.

Anyone who didn't use the team of Mario, Mallow and Geno...you were playing the game wrong.

Toadstool? We don't need no healer! Especially when a Pick Me Up costs 5 coins and fills up your entire health. Only time where this even remotely makes sense is when you fight Jinx since he has those insane 1 hit KO moves. Culex is a joke if you give Mallow and Geno the Safety Ring or Lazy Shell Armor.

Bowser? Good defense, but if you're grabbing the right armor items, this should never be a problem. Oh and he has the worst Specials of the bunch.

I'd be great if you unlocked it via going behind the curtain in Booster's Tower, emerging as the 16 bit sprite of the original SMRPG, and then hurriedly going back behind it.

Really hyped for this but wish the art style for the main characters matched the original more. Feels especially jarring to see bowsers current design in this game.

Hopefully not, but I can see how missing that first secret chest permanently would be frustrating, so if anything maybe they'll have the Toads in the hall walk a little more freely. Walking off the map though should definitely stay in, as that was easy to find as a kid.

If we're talking about obscure stuff, what about Snifits 4 through "8". Or getting the Super Suit or Yoshi Ade.

If anything, I could see them protecting rare items that you were able to sell in the game. My friend was super annoyed when he found out what you get when you give the Seed to the Gardener, as he sold his. Of any rare item, I'd be worried for the Wallet, since I always sold it after I got it. I'd show it to the owner first, then sell it. His comments afterward are REALLY funny. I always liked making Mario just incredibly jerkish or stupid. Whether it was lying to Gaz about who he was, refusing to tell the Treasure Hunter that you stole his treasures, or this gem;

Mario, Geno and Toadstool were the go to team for most

Geno hit almost as strong as Bowser and better magic user while Toadstool was a better healer than Mallow.

Mallow has a pretty solid place in the end game if you know which enemies are weak to Lightning and Ice. In the Smithy fight, you can use Shocker to absolutely wreck the Smelter in a couple turns, and then when you hit the second phase of the fight, you can make Smithy absolutely bleed HP when he changes into the Tank head, and you have Snowy for when he retreats to the Mask Head.
