At this point, I really don't care if anything major is added. I just want the game to do well enough to warrant Nintendo doing a sequel, spinoff or using the characters in this universe for other games.

Honestly I think they're going to do Chrono Trigger but are waiting at this point for the 30th anniversary just over a year from now. Between Square remaking a ton of other shit that's nowhere near as notable and porting Chrono Cross and Radical Dreamers but not it despite there being a Steam version they could easily flip, it makes me inclined to think they've got plans for it.

Some full music tracks from the Mario RPG remake have popped up online, not from leaks, just ripped from the Tetris 99 event. Its the main battle theme, Fight Against an Armed Boss, Fight Against a Somewhat Stronger Monster, Sad Song, and the victory msuic.
Pretty great across the board, though I think I still slightly prefer the SNES standard battle theme overall.

The new version of Sad Song is the most Kingdom Hearts thing ever. You can hear it so desperately trying to turn into both Dearly Beloved and Traverse Town.

I hope they made Birdo's boss fight more manageable. She was really difficult in the original.

In addition to the save blocks, the game now autosaves. I mean the original already did that as far as progress. In fact, you could level up to Level 30, get a game over...and if you didn't use a Save Block since Mario's Pad, you could actually play through the entire game starting at Level 30. Hopefully the auto save is something you can turn off. And I'm glad that Mario still wants to slug Gaz...but I want to know if you can still sell the wallet. |
