I feel like Roddy might cost them the belts, I don't feel like they're turning, but after that "CM PUNK'S JOCKSTRAP" line I feel like the play would be Face MJF and Cole vs Heel Punk and FTR, with Roddy eventually joining their side.

MJF outright saying that he'd give Cole his title shot regardless of the result seems like they're prepared to keep the two as a team and not do the inevitable betrayal.

I fully believe you can do the Cole/MJF match without a turn. It honestly makes the match that much more interesting to do it as two buddies fighting for it.

Maybe im not thinking long term but what eould MJF offering a fake title match gain him right now? If anything it would make Cole want to striker first more

I feel like you can get a lot more mileage out of this story before a turn.

Have to say that this storyline is exactly what MJF needed for his title reign. I was beyond sick of him by the time of Forbidden Door but this has once again made him one of the most interesting parts of the company again.

It would keep Cole onside long enough to win the tag belts. When they have the tag belts, MJF can keep delaying the world title match by concentrating on tag matches. It's dangling a carrot on a string in front of a horse without ever intending for the horse to reach it.

MJF is an amazing heel, but he feels much more fresh as a face

They do need to have their Mega Powers... EXPLODE~! moment, but for now let them cook. If they can stretch this 2/3 more months at least and keep it fresh, awesome.

This also sets up the current theory that Cole turns on MJF. Max made the selfless sacrifice here.

Honestly, the fact that they didn't break up tonight has made me certify this as one of my all-time favourite angles. It can definitely get ruined from here, that's possible. But everything up to here has been solid gold.

I'm so happy that they hugged it out and how MJF reacted to his loss, he was so broken up about it and thought he'd ruined their friendship & was tossing up whether or not to attack Cole because of it.
