I mean, he does more often than people realize, it's just most of the time if things are going a certain way, there's no real motivation to do so. Like, it's different from WWE right now where there's a plan, they're sticking to the plan no matter what people are reacting, watching or purchasing.

My one concern with if this continues, who ends up challenging MJF for the next little bit? If there was an idea for MJF/Kingston at Grand Slam, does that really work if he's still teaming with Cole? Will people be able to take a newer challenger seriously?

Tony doesn't change plans

He has, repeatedly

People don't think he does because he didn't balk with the Jade idea, but a lot more times than not, plans have deviated from the start and things happen where things need to change, and have. He does his best to still try and reach end goals but wrestling doesn't work that way, it loves to mess with ya.

I feel like it's not so much he doesn't change plans, so much as he ends up waiting so long TO change the plans that it ends up making the angle worse than it would've been if he'd called the audible sooner.

I mean, best argument against "TK never changes plans" is how (aside from commentary and Eddie in the heat of the moment), nobody tried to pretend the pyro botch for the Exploding Barbed Wire Death match was anything but afterwards.

I don't expect them to win the tag belts and I will be heartbroken when MJF inevitably turns, but if Tony were to pivot and actually give them the belts it wouldn't be the worst thing...

They can't break up anytime soon. They need to stay together and have a run with the Tag Titles. Breaking them up at this point would be promotional malpractice.

I mean it'd main event All In if they broke up now and be a white hot feud of emotional turmoil behind it, but I get it

I wouldn't be shocked if TK's debating this or has already pivoted, MJF having at least one world title defense as a pseudo face with Cole hyping him on wouldn't be the worst idea, especially if they use Roderick Strong for it given how he's been very upset at how this has been developing

Even if MJF turns idk if it'll be exactly the same... I feel like the match would have MJF second guessing a lot of things and the choice he made in betraying another person who legitimately cared for him.

I seriously hope and pray TK has pivoted from his original plan. When something is this hot and working so well, you don't just end it and cut it off all of a sudden for HEATZ!!!!! WWE has done that for 20 years. I hope TK has learned from WWE's mistakes.

It still feels to me that Cole is intentionally stringing Max along and will be the one doing the betraying. He's booked as too much of a smart babyface to fall for the 23rd fake babyface MJF act.

...however, this may need to be a case of the original plans changing. They've become the most over tag team in a company full of extremely over tag teams.
