No it's not ironic, the dude literally gets some of the biggest pops of the show, and has everyone going "YEAH!" for everything he says

Wrestling fans like to chant along with catchphrases. Always have, always will. Guy is cool, built like a brickhouse and decent in ring. Easy to see why people gravitate towards him.

Yep. It's why something like the US Title would be a good spot for him, but as it is currently stands, he doesn't really cut it as a main-eventer.
