Remember when the actual main event of a ppv was Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch v Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans? Dark times. I just wish that actually ended with Seth beating the shit out of Corbin and sending everyone home happy. Then Brock came out.......

Roman's booking was really weird that year. It's almost unfathomable that this was just a year before the Tribal Chief.
I guess they were taking it easy on him after his return from leukemia but it was still weird how him v Bryan was like the top story on Smackdown at the time but they didn't have a match at Summerslam.

Sin Cara got a valet, Botchetta I know it ended up being a different person behind the mask but I can't believe the Sin Cara character lasted almost a decade.

Must we forget the dude in the Rasta hat tackling Bret Hart at the Hall of Fame and then getting uppercut by FTR?

Ah, the year that completely killed my interest in WWE until Triple H became head booker of the whole thing. It did at least have a pretty good build to Kofi winning the WWE Championship at 'Mania. That's really the only positive I can think of that came out of that year.

Still trying to figure out why exactly Vince randomly had it out for Becky. At least with Kofi there as an undercurrent of implied racism to it, for Becky there was just nothing.

2020 counted as six years so 2019 seems like an eternity ago

KofiMania, Dolph's "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME" and Seth and that horrible Wyatt angle is all I remember about that year.

Didn't Adam Cole have like the most insane schedule ever in November 2019? Like a week and a half of fantastic, brutal matches?

One thing people overlook about Kofimania is how, just 5 years after Yes-mania and 1 year after his comeback from a forced retirement, brilliant Daniel Bryan was as Kofi's villainous foil.
The Kabuki Warriors ended up having loads of good matches but their start with the silly "let's pick a Japanese cultural word the fans might know out of a hat" team name and Paige of all people managing them was weird.
Last PPV of the year had the Kabuki Warriors wrestle for about 20 minutes despite Kari Sane being knocked loopy early on. Miz v Wyatt in a match where Miz got in no offense and Wyatt managed two moves. Roman's last pinfall loss for about three years (and a resulting backstage fight which overshadowed the remaining matches).
What times...

The Fiend was a breath of fresh air in terms of presentation until they just couldn’t help themselves, but yeah, awful god damn year from pillar to post.
