The springboard was botched, but the AJ, Sami, and particularly Priest matches all had issues with the ropes as well. After that, she got up and ran through her moves without a problem, and the finish went as planned. Can't defend the tapping bit, though, that was pretty baffling considering she'd been in submission moves before. Real brain fart moment. I think they should have Baszler make a big issue of it, that she and Stark are owed the belts instead. Still super weird that, like, nobody sorted out the ropes problem after the first match it affected. I've been to indie shows where any moment after a match they can tweak the ropes to make them tighter so I don't know what possible excuse WWE had. Especially how long the WWE takes between matches. |

Exactly, get people on it during a hype package or advert, don’t film the ring during the first entrance of the next match if they’re not able to get there super quick. If it’s being brought up on commentary in the, like, third match it’s affecting or whenever it was, that’s not a story-of-the-match thing, that’s a “we did a bad job at sorting this out” thing. |

Aside from jade being tired of aew questions, I thought her point about this being the most she has ever wrestled really interested me. Nothing beats live reps when you're trying to get better and you see her adding new stuff to her arsenal each match. Don't recall her ever doing a jackhammer before tonight

I don't even remember it being like a Sheamus and Cesaro thing where they earned each other's respect though being opponents. It was just like they started teaming with no reason given. I guess Isla's voice was supposed to be coming out of a speaker in the room but Ivy and Tatum were looking right at the water bottle thus making it come off like a water bottle was talking and making evil cartoon villain laughs. Ivy and Tatum being so unaffected by it was the icing on the cake. |
