On "The Dan LeBatard Show," Khan was asked if he ever expected to be "drowning in death threats" for the decisions he's made since starting AEW, or whether he realized early that the negativity was unavoidable. 

To Khan's credit, he brushed off the online hate as a case of passionate fans acting out. "I think it's great," Khan said of the death threats. Khan — the Vice-Chairman of Fulham F.C. — has similarly faced the wrath of the English soccer club's fans for some of his front-office decisions. "To be honest, the rancor of sports fans is across all sports, and it's something I've seen in football, in the NFL, you see it in football in the [English] Premier League. For us, it's a great thing that we have passionate fans that really care about AEW, that really get excited about the shows. I love it. And our fans are really supportive."

Four days ago was the interview (same day)...I was saying it contradicts what he is saying is the catalyst for acting like that when your outright inviting it as well

He isn't advocating for Death Threats nor does he outright call Death Threats "Great" at all, that's clickbait. He just tried to brush off negativity that gets heaped onto him

And speaking from experience elsewhere because my work is online and I have to deal with a small fraction of this, there's days where someone telling me to kill myself online is the most laugh-off-able thing in the world, just completely trivial to dismiss. Then there's days where I get some vile shit and I'm already in a not-great place and it just demolishes me emotionally. Which doesn't make either day's feeling disingenuous or wrong because humans don't experience emotions with total internal consistency across all contexts, times, and places.

and I understand that completely I do...I dont support any of those actions but your not also flaming those fires and instigating those comments publicly then getting mad when you receive them are you?

So no, it's not being taken out of context. He then went on to avoid most of the follow up questions, which tbf were about Punk and All In so I don't blame him for not wanting to talk about it, but I wonder why he even does these things when he won't answer anything. He just loops around about how many tickets were sold at Wembley and how great the shows have been.

He'd be better sending Bryan and Edge on these things, they'll do well and might actually get some news eyes on the product if lapsed fans notice it.

Jarrett got a lot of heat and didn’t live in the same twitter world as tony does. Solomonster brought up a good point that if you had the jarrets, the vince’s of the past in todays world? they could be worse. Agreed about the pr rep thing.
