Flair's intentions are clear...Flair sums it up himself...He is going to be standing outside Khan's door like a little kid for the next 2 years it sounds like...

Yeah you know this deal is gonna go well ebcause in the psan of a day Ric's gone from 'They won't let me wrestle' to "I'm cleared to wrestle" I almost want to know who Ric's doctor is, just in case I ever happen to find myself in North Carolina, I want to know who to avoid if I get injured.

Dude's gonna be right behind Tony whispering "Lemme wrestle" so often that he's going to be reclassified as medical equipment for back support.

Why would anyone think they are different? It's the same industry. Anyone socially good enough to clean up the industry is exactly the kind of person who isn't going to spend tens of millions of dollars of their own money to do it. (First of all, they likely aren't going to even have that kind of money to begin with.) The Khan family is worth a ton of money, if anyone missed this, people worth billions are dollars are generally total irredeemable assholes that would literally put people into a giant meat grinder if it meant making a dollar more.

At best Flair will get physical by throwing chops like how Kenta Kobashi has been doing in Japan this year...

seeing these old ass dudes wrestle just makes me sad and uncomfortable, it bummed me out seeing Paul Wight hobble out there the other night. Tony is genuinely a madman if he books Flair to wrestle.

Paul Wight is different, they know that he cant go as before which is why they booked a street fight so it could hide his weaknesses, I wouldnt be shocked if he is off tv again after the tag match.

I've been kinda down on AEW due to some mindless booking, but this genuinely has soured me on it. Like, I hate QT and call him a channel changer for me, but Flair is going to be that for real. The idea of him being a weekly fixture while guys sit in ROH or on Rampage just irritates me. It depends on how frequently he's actually there and what capacity. Obviously if the dude is cutting long terrible promos or anywhere near a ring, this will be a disaster If he's a manager/valet or whatever he SHOULDN'T be taking time from anyone on the show he should already be involved in a program with other people That being said I fail to see what he can bring to any wrestling program and what he can even bring outside of a novelty appearance which he already has had.

He needs to just slow down if he wants to get on TV at all I'll reserve on this. AEW said they won't clear him. Ric can say he's fine to take bumps all he wants, if AEW won't clear him or tell him he can't, hopefully they stand pat on that If they don't, sorry TK, I've backed you plenty but if this dude does anything outside of some chops and maybe a figure four, you're on your f***ing own on that one pal lmfao And tbh I don't think anyone even wants to see that at this point.

Agreed but selfishly I don't want to see any of the physical action... it just makes me sad about what used to be... His knife edge chops are plastic butter knives at this point and nearly everyone on the AEW roster throws harder and better ones... I completely get the idea of making the best of the situation but I have major concerns that he is going to be given an inch and take a mile as my late mother would say. Either way...no sir I don't like it but if it moves the needle than who am I to judge

Again, I'm with you, I don't want to see any of it, I'd rather not see Ric at all, but I am mentally preparing for at the very least some sort of bar that'll be hit and hoping it doesn't go beyond it.

I also hope he doesn't spend the entire time crying too...Something so off putting about watching a guy who has been enabled and held to different standards most of his adult life cry for me... In so many ways he really is the greatest of all time to me but in so many ways he's one of the greatest examples as to why this industry is as dirty as it is. Glad that we can communicate on common ground...I will welcome that at any time as long as it's honest and not personal. Been a wild week for everyone and we are just all watching. I can't imagine being a member of that roster who no one updates haha

Charlotte even said it in a promo with him, that once he starts crying, she starts crying right with him. I think we'd have more common ground than you think when it comes to this stuff, I just like AEW or counterpoint things than most people here and I guess in some cases it can get too confrontational. There's nothing confrontational about this, it's just dumb. I don't even see the biggest AEW superfan being 100 percent cool with this deep down. It would be funny if we got an interview with a wrestler and when asked about Ric Flair being signed they just whip their head over and go "WHAT?? WHEN??"

Suzuki still looks like he is a crazy and scary SOB that could do some damage. Flair looks feeble, IMO. I love him.... but he's DONE when it comes to physicality.
