As someone who considers Ric one of his top ten favorite workers, this is a terrible, horrible signing that made me cringe when I read it and there’s now a 98% chance of a major public relations/financial disaster for TK any given day. I mean, bringing him in for Sting's last run was questionable but I can at least kinda see it. This? This is dumb and completely unnecessary. Hogan's Orange ass isn't far behind, is it?

I know AEW has generally been great at featuring veterans and getting the most out of them while mentoring the younger generation, but at some point does there become too many of these legends on TV (regardless of how good they still are) on a weekly basis that you start to affect the overall feeling people have about your company as a whole?
AEW might be nearing that point with Flair, Sting (who has been amazing), Jarrett (also been great), Show, Jericho, Edge, Christian, the Hardy Boys, Billy Gunn, Dustin.

If they were all being used and beating the young guys on the regular, I think it'd be a valid point, but 99% of the guys you mentioned are used to either put over the young talent or they're associated with the young talent in a way where they bolster their acts and don't hinder things. Big Show's barely been used, Sting and Jarrett have had great runs, Jericho carried much of the early AEW load, the Hardyz are there to just kind of lose and Daddy Ass is super popular.

If anything, they've sidelined Dustin too much given how good he is. He's way way better than either of the Hardys and Flair at the very least.

If nothing else, the FAN boards can come together in disgust at the thought of bringing in Flair.

Ric Flair and all but I still have to tilt my head at putting out a drink with a name one step away from completing the Anaconda Malt Liquor joke.

If he was used similar to how Tully (who was great) was, I could see it working. I suspect though he'll very quickly outstay his welcome.

Here’s hoping no one has to actually drink it on camera and pretend to like it.

Does this mean that Andrade will stop being a bitch now? Well it's been rumoured for a while now that him & Charlotte have broken up.
