Oh, I came in here thinking this was a Spanish Fast and Furious spin off.

Anya Taylor-Joy has rarely been a miss for me, so I'm pretty stoked.

Oh yeah, I remember hearing rumours of a Furiosa spinoff years ago. Looks really good.
So I may be wrong, but isn't this technically the first Mad Max movie that is 100% in canon with another movie in the series? Because every movie after the first has some level of inconsistency with the others.

The amount of bad CGI in that trailer has me concerned.

Something about these trailers just aren't hitting it for me. I think I'll wait for word of mouth on this one.
But if it's even half as good as Fury Road it'll be worth seeing.

George Miller should of won something for Fury Road at the Oscars. The visuals on this don't seem as amazing as Fury Road but I'll give it a chance. He deserves the benefit of doubt from me after that masterpiece.

He deserves the benefit of doubt from me after that masterpiece. Fury Road actually won more Oscars than any other single film that year, but alas nothing for Miller specifically. According to a book about the making of the film, after the Oscars, the cast and crew were at a private function at a bar where Miller was making drinks for everyone, saying since he didn't get an award he'd better learn to make a living somehow. It was great reading how humble he was throughout.

Furiosa doesn't look as good, but still comfortably looks like the best action movie offering so far this year. As a sidenote, it's a testament to Miller's talent and versatility as a filmmaker that his two Best Picture nominations are for the adrenaline-soaked orgy of vehicular violence that is Fury Road and the decidedly less violent Babe, while Happy Feet won for Best Animated.

And never forget, we were THIS close to George Miller's Justice League in the 2000s.

I'm hoping it's really good as a film, since I enjoyed Fury Road (and The Road Warrior) so much.
But I'm not really feeling it from the trailers. And I'm more concerned we could have another Fury Road situation at the box office, where the budget ballooned so much due to the long development time, that it's also going to end up losing money and needing home media to bail it out.
