Besides the fact that he's, you know, STING, I'm convinced that part of why Sting always gets top booking and rarely does jobs in AEW is because he doesn't complain about anything, and he seems like he does everything in his power to put over whatever heel he's in there with and would take an L for QT Marshall and do it with grace if he were asked to.  He knows what he can do, he knows what he can't do, and he goes out there and just does his best to give his partners and his opponents both the Sting "rub"

The Hardys were a nostalgia act ten years ago. Like they got to have their last little run in WWE, and Matt got to be broken again once he came back to AEW. Like I was all for one more year of the Hardys, but then Jeff got the DUI and now, I'd rather never see them again.

I do think there could be something to the Hardy's trying to act like they're still top acts when they aren't, like aging rock stars that haven't been relevant in years and think they still got it. Mid-life crisis like, coasting on their own hype

We've seen iterations with Big Money Matt and even a bit when Jeff was a heel in TNA, if they can harness it without getting to meta shooty I think they could at least be something different then playing the hits again. Likely won't ever hit the highs of the Broken Universe again but at least they could do something worth a damn

Big issue they have is they've declined a lot in ring, especially Jeff, so idk how much even a new gimmick would have legs if this is how the Hardy's are gonna work from here on and potentially only get worse.

Could be wrong but that feels like the most obvious work, genuinely stunned people are reading it as a shoot. Isn't it the exact same sort of tone they took in their Rampage interview? They even said something about putting them on Dynamite to pop a rating, and acted ultra heelish and arrogant towards Private Party. They've been subtly acting more like heels for ages anyway, right back to after they lost to the Elite and maybe even before then.
