If Rock is getting the Mania Roman match, you simply book Cody elsewhere. He doesn’t win the Rumble or a number 1 contender’s chamber and instead has a blood feud for Mania.

if I know The Rock like I think I do I think this'll be at EC under the auspice of seeing down under for a trip while really he's there to take a deeper look at the 1975 constitutional crisis and start throwing warrants around

Why rush all of it. Cody wins the Rumble, finishes the story at Wrestlemania and then Rock/Roman happens at Summerslam in some kind of Tribal Chief, Head of the Table, match. I don't think they'll tease something on January 1st just to wait until August to deliver.

I'm sure it's been said but they are f***ing insane if they don't do this at Mania. I love Cody but they would make so much more money with Rocky. That said it disgusts me that it never ends with Roman. Lesnar put him over multiple times, basically everyone has. He will retire having beaten virtually every wrestling superstar from two eras other than Austin. WWE will treat him retroactively as bigger than Cena, one of the greatest to ever do it. I like Roman well enough but good golly, I can't wait until he's off to Hollywood and we get something new for a change. If Roman/Rock happens at Mania, that pretty much ruins Cody, who is pretty much the closest thing to the next Cena, and Cody’s not exactly a youngster, he’s the same age as Roman so if they wait till Mania 41 that’s pretty much going to be the only year he’s a full fledged main event star. Rock/Roman can happen in EC, the Americans can watch the event when they wake up. I see your point but I don't think Cody can be ruined at this point. Yes it would be a massive letdown if he didn't get a Mania moment. But I also don't think putting him over at Mania puts him into a Cena category. I don't think anything WWE does with him will ever put him on that level. I love Cody but he seems more like a Rollins, an Orton, etc. One of the best to do it, no doubt. But not a guy I see carrying the company on his back for an extended period. Just my opinion, would be happy to be wrong. I'm not a gambling man but if I was, I'm guessing Rock confronts Roman at EC after the Chamber match and we get a face off that leads to a Mania showdown. Not sure where that leaves Cody. Maybe in a three way with Rollins and Punk for the other title. But then you need Punk to win the rumble, which I guess I could also see happening.

How can he side w/ Rhea (after what she did to Liv) ? Save your respect for those that deserve it, Rocky. Definitely not in Team Bring It anymore! It's either his Corporation version showing through trying to suck up to a champion (Best for business even though that wasn't used as a catchphrase back then) OR It's his Hollywood Rock showing and he's trying to get her to play Taryn (miss "Beautiful and Bad") in an Elm Street 3 remake.
