So is the speculation that Pacino was trashed or is senile now? That was just...odd. I've heard more excitement over dining specials.

Emma Stone wins Best Actress Major, ugh. Just goes to show, you walk around naked for half the film and put ball gags in your mouth and you’ll win an Oscar. I wanted Sandra, but I would have taken anyone over Emma. Such a gross, gross part and movie. The movie and acting were great. I can understand if it’s not for you but it’s not “lesser than” just because it is lewd.

I’ve been wanting Nolan to have that night at least four times previously already (Memento, Dark Knight, Dunkirk, Inception) so I’m happy it happened.
Plus my best movie of last year (Godzilla Minus One) won an Oscar…which is a rare thing for me.

Did they cut to the studio before the dog shat or pissed on Matt Damon’s star? I think the dog's leg was up so as to look like it was peeing on Damon's star. Kimmel and Damon are friends and Kimmel tends to make him a butt of a lot of jokes.

Bradley Cooper might not have won the Oscar, but at least he's in Abbot Elementary!

Godzilla and Wes Anderson finally won, that’s good enough for me.

"We're both presenting together for a very obvious reason" "We both tried to kill Batman" This was my mark out moment. The fact that Keaton sold it made it a GOAT'd moment!

Killers of the Flower Moon getting shut out was real surprising. But I guess that's what happens when you're going head-to-head in several categories against arguably the greatest anti-war movie ever made.

Killers of the Flower Moon just has too difficult a story to win. I don’t mean the story itself…I mean in how it was made. It’s a miracle it’s as good as it is given how many better ways there were to do it that Marty couldn’t do. First…Leo is playing the wrong character and the focus is on the wrong person for the story perspective he felt comfortable telling it from. The move would have been to cast him as the Jesse Plemons part. The Osage asked that they not tell the story from his POV so I completely respect not doing so. The problem is that the correct perspective is another one that Marty didn’t feel he could tell it from. A Hitchcockian thriller type movie like Rebecca from the perspective of Gladstone’s character is a real winner…but I also understand why he’s not comfortable doing it. So you run into problems. You’re now down to the third most interesting perspective and Leo miscast as a result. None of this is Scorsese’s fault. I applaud him wanting to bring the story forward. Leo being cast gets you the money. You just end up telling it in a way that never feels right to the point where the movie eventually becomes about an inability to feel like you’re telling it right.
But again…he’s such a good director he still made it work better than it has any right to.

Killers is a masterpiece imo and my favorite movie of the past many years so I wanted it to walk away with something, but aside from the reasons mentioned the ending is a straight up condemnation of Hollywood’s complicity (including the movie itself) in erasure of genocide so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Academy not exactly thrilled with it lol.

Some comments I have heard is that Lily Gladstone should have been nominated in the Supporting Actor category and not Lead Actor category.
Have to agree there. Cause she is barely in half of Flower Moon while Emma Stone nearly carried the entire runtime of Poor Things.
If Lily got a supporting actor nom, she probably would have won.
