I just don't understand people like that. I mean, he could have flown in every prostitute, probably every pornstar on earth he wanted to. But obviously that isn't enough for a powerhungry, control freak asshole like Vince.

I believe Ryan, though he's also a hypocrite that went to bat for Flair sadly.

Yeah I think people really need to take the blinders off when it comes to really the real world… Wrestling is rampant with morally dubious characters just like most professional sports are… This - like did we stop watching movies because Harvey Weinstein, and other deviants in the industry… watching sport, listing to music , etc - every industry has dirtbags
Roman Polanski won three Oscars in 2002, so even when absolutely everyone knows for absolute certain they're dirtbags, nobody cares.

Was anybody expecting anything else? Something like this, the company no matter what is gonna put a gag order on everybody. Every statement about this or something similar, has to go through the company. Every corporation does that, Microsoft or Sony get hacked, the workers aren't gonna say shit, it will all be referred to the company's legal department. I think some people expect Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes or whoever to be tweeting their disgust, which is baffling to me. Seth Rollins the ultimate company man? Why would anyone expect that?

Yeah people expecting a mass exodus of talent will be disappointed. Even people expecting anything beyond Vince being kicked out will probably be disappointed. TKO will say they just took over, cleaned house on the parties involved (even if HHH and others stay on), and time will heal the company’s reputation.
With fans it will be easier to move on. Once the Rumble starts, this story will be an afterthought. Unless they do something stupid like have Vince or Brock show up at the event. Even if HHH’s theme opened the PPV, he’d get cheered. The fans are probably the least of the company’s concerns. It’s the company’s reputation with sponsors, media partners, etc.

Even Titus ONeil went to defend Flair and he is also well liked.

Cause it isn't about sex, it's about power, it's about the ability to degrade and control someone and watch them keep coming back for more. It's a mental disorder that a ton of rich people have, you can only buy so many expensive things and do so many normal things before you need something else to stroke your fancy. Because they can have anything they want they want more and more depraved things.

I’d be very confident that the vast majority of the wrestlers had no idea or played no part in the horrible acts that Vince and laurinautis committed. It’s why I disliked the way it was phrased that if talent didn’t speak out they would be somewhat complicit. Let’s work with what we know for certain.

As for people commenting from the company. I'll say what I said when Hausman caused the Jericho rumors to pop up (please note these are apples to oranges and are NOT meant to cause WWE vs AEW so nobody take this as such) PR answers should be given. The difference of course is these are actual accusations, but the response from wrestlers should be that they cannot comment on that, and the response from Triple H/whoever should say "we take any allegation of sexual assault seriously, and will be doing our due diligence"
That will piss some people off, but you've got to play the PR game. Do not say anything to make it worse do not praise anybody or try to downplay anything. Put it into the hands of legal

Finally made the news here on CBC.com This isn't something he's just going to be able to brush past. Actual media juggernauts outside the weird carny wrestling circle are shouting about it for all to see now. Media juggernauts AND the CBC? I can’t believe I broke my pledge to not post in this thread just so I could dunk on the CBC.

I would love to hear comments from wrestling personalities with knowledge of Vince who does not need WWE anymore.
And I know it won't happen, but I'm also waiting for someone on the WWE roster to leak all the crazy shit they know, and just say "F*** you, fire me if you want, IDGAF."

Something that has struck me is that if this turns out to be true (and for the record, I believe every last word of it) is that these are the actions of a comparatively frail seventy-something year old living in the age of the internet where everything comes to light eventually.
To give that perspective, if this is what he's capable of now, it makes me shudder to think what he was up to in his prime years, with half of Colombia stuffed up his nose and enough steroids in his system to give a race horse a heart attack in an age where it was easy to make things disappear.
My only vague hope is that these actions are the result of all those years of self-abuse and not the icing on the cake of decades of depravity.
As for Brock, well he and Vince are different sides of the same coin. Vince has never heard no due to his money, power, political connections and stranglehold on his chosen industry while Brock has never heard no due to the fact that there's essentially nobody on the planet that can confront him physically. I have absolutely no trouble in believing that both are completely mentally warped as a result.
