This was tweets from a number of people blaming Punk specifically for not saying anything today and only instagramming his morning coffee. As if he, or any other wrestler, could or should be sharing their feelings on this matter on social media.

Dude made himself a fake reputation of being a guy that fights for the right causes ,that stands up for people that can't. He is the guy that came every week with a shirt that represents a cause. Apparently WWE instructed all their talent not to comment about it on their social media. So no they can't.

Some notes from todays Wrestlenomics podcast

Thurston said the only 4 officers at the time outside of McMahon that knew about this according to the filings were Nick Khan, Triple H, Stephanie and Frank Riddick.

Thurston intends to be at the presser.

Pollock asked if it's still happening and WWE has not answered him.

Thurston adds that WWE have notified them that just because they have access, a decision will be made on the day who is allowed in to the presser. (Not unusual, but he doesn't know if he will be let in, despite his pass)

If there is a post-Rumble presser, it's gonna absolutely just have pre-approved people who'll be told to ask kayfabe questions.

Does “knew about this” refer to knowing about the lawsuit or knowing about what Vince allegedly did?

I don't know about the photo, but her name entered the public realm the moment she filed the lawsuit. Just as we're discussing it now, any tom, dick and harry can get a copy and find her name. The media is no different.

This is the correct decision for the company and the wrestlers. Whether they know or not. Whether they are complicit or not this is something above them and commenting publicly right now does not help Ms Grant or anyone else involved.

EDIT: I'm just going to be extra clear, when I say this os the correct decision I mean that this minimises their chance of ending up in court as a part of this situation. I want everyone involved to be gone whether they are wrestlers or employees.

She filed the lawsuit? It was going to get out either way. WSJ got a look at the case early, I'm sure they had the photo too. She probably gave it to them.

Another note: Wrestlenomics has been very wrong on contract/deal shit in the past an frequently presents speculation as fact without the two being properly distinguished.

I wouldn't put Thurston in the credible Mike Johnson tier of wrestling journalists. He's moreso in the tier just below Meltzer/SRS but above Hausman.

Something to keep in mind when reading his reporting among others.
