Meanwhile Meltzer is tweeting this will be the biggest Rumble in history in terms of money and viewed coming in just behind wrestlemania etc etc I don't expect them to shut the shows down, that's just an insane amount of logistics to do something like that especially given the deals locked in with local governments and whatnot. That said, a "business as usual" tweet right now isn't the best look. Just keep quiet, the show's already sold out, no need to do a whole "HEY GUYS, WHADDAYA UP TO THIS WEEKEND?!" kind of message when there's a gigantic black cloud overhead. It really goes to show they think about 99% of their fan base gives no shits, I mean hell it was true the last time when they trotted Vince's ass out there and he got a standing ovation.

Difference is “they” back then was Vince himself as he was the all powerful leader. At least now that’s no longer the case.

Honestly as bad taste as that Trips tweet looks, everybody in the company has to keep things pushing as the legal stuff gets handled. I get it but it's no different than anything else that's happened in a corporate setting. If these people were told they can't talk about it and keep things within their bubble, I get why he can't say something about it. He can't go silent either because that's also saying something too to a degree. Just depends on what you think.
But rest assured, if he's linked to it and if he's done something then his time will come. This isn't something that can be overlooked. Sex trafficking is different than steroids and even some of the other shit Vince had been accused of.
All those who have done wrong will get their own. Vince, Brock, doesn't matter. Yall gonna get it. I honestly can't wait too because these people don't need to be invested in something we love.

Dude made himself a fake reputation of being a guy that fights for the right causes ,that stands up for people that can't. He is the guy that came every week with a shirt that represents a cause. He is the guy that defended women by buying then starbucks. That's the reputation he made for himself so people will press him on actually doing something about it But this ain't a Punk thread. And Any wrestler absolutely could share their feelings on this, should they? Is another story Apparently WWE instructed all their talent not to comment about it on their social media. So no they can't. again they can ,it's not legally forbidden. They will risk their job but they can.

Just a reminder that this guy still voted to bring Vince back the first time. Something that he has never been questioned during any of his media scrums. Wrestling “journalism,” my ass.

Not to mention calling her a bitch after she complied. You're not going to get me to pretend that a kink in degrading others isn't potentially problematic, but it can be consensual... This isn’t the hill to die on.

In retrospect, Vince Jr should have just left the company in Gorilla Monsoon and Lou Albano's hands (at least I think Albano was one of the ones who was in line to run the company after Vince, so just have them be co-owners, Albano meets Cyndi Lauper on the plane, and WWF goes mainstream without Vince).

And no one's going to risk getting fired to make a statement on social media unless they were on the outs already.
This is also protecting the talents from themselves so they don't say something stupid.

The alternate timeline where the Attitude Era plays out with Captain Lou as “Mr. Albano” feuding with Austin.

Consent, when it comes to employer(employee, is such shaky ground. The power dynamic is just so disparate, that it can’t help but come into play. How can that ever be 100% consensual? And I understand that that opens up a whole conversation about agency. But this is Vince McMahon. We have a pretty goddamn good idea of who he is. And a pretty goddamn good idea of how this situation played out.

I'm now imaging this as like, Captain Lou looking somewhere between how he looked as half of The Sicilians and Willie Cicci from The Godfather, just completely slick and dapper... but with like, gold-plated rubber bands through his cheek. Alternatively... Admiral Louis.

I’m not trying to deny anything, but I just saw a slide of a few of the explicit texts. Why is a 70 plus year old billionaire texting like he’s a 16 year old illiterate teenager. It just seems so hard to believe some of the verbiage. What I’m trying to say here really is holy f*** is he ever f***ed in the head. How is this one of the richest people in the world? I forget if it was Jericho, Punk, or who, but apparently Vince would text with 'lol'.. Punk said good childhood died when Undertaker texted that to him.
