haven't the last few shows had like 4-6K people in attendance? I know they have a lot of tickets sold for Revolution and that Boston show Maybe I'm wearing rose colored glasses since I've really been enjoying the last few weeks of TV since the belt came off MJF, but it seems like AEW has been heating up recently They’ve done mostly between 2K and 4K recently, with one over 5K (Phoenix).

For context of what he wrote in the article, he also touched on those being happy:

Which isn't really bad it's just their previous coordinator for both marketing and arenas seemed to be in over his head Recent venues and starting ticket prices are moving the market better. Revolution and Big Business have moved exceptionally well and I think they're re-finding a groove in the marketing aspect.

Meltzer hasn't been having a good time of it this week. Don't worry that will all change when he watches the brand new Jericho vs Cena match that just happened on Raw somehow, like how that segment between Triple H and Rock talking about Mania that aired in 2014 actually was supposed to air last week.

Big Daddy Dave playing both sides of the fence? Why, I'd never have guessed.
I'm sure there is truth in what he says. Not everyone is going to be happy. AEW has a roster of 100+ talent and the crowds have been disappointing. I'm sure there are others who think things are just dandy.

"Behind scenes morale at WON was said to have dropped when Bryan Alvarez forgot to wish Dave Meltzer's wife a Happy Birthday. Bryan allegedly said it was a innocent mistake but this has still roughed Meltzer up wrong way, especially as Bryan supposedly sent a card for Mike Sempervive's wife's birthday. WON's overal subscriptions have dropped this year and Lance Storm is allegeded to have lead a townhall meeting amoung the team in a effort to refocus morale"

Hasn’t TK actually been making changes to how stuff is run to turn it around?
Big Dave has been really weird about AEW for a while now.

Hey, it’s been about a week; time for a doom and gloom thread, courtesy of Dave Meltzer. There is reportedly "frustration" among some talent in #AEW about the company's declining popularity and Tony Khan "acting like everything is fine":"There is also frustration from a lot of circles since talent comes to the shows and sees the smaller crowds since the start of the year. Khan always paints a positive picture about the company being stronger due to increased revenues, or bringing up ratings, and there’s the feeling that popularity is declining overall and changes have to be made to turn it around and he’s acting like everything is fine" Source (WON) Ridiculous vague posting from Meltzer aside, really, what is TK supposed to do? Does Dave expect Tony to come out and say “yeah, my wrestling company is a complete shit show.” ? TK won’t nor should say anything like that. And no executive anywhere will present a negative outlook. I don’t understand this from meltzer.

They're also going to some smaller markets in the upcoming weeks like Huntsville IL and Tulsa OK, but they're likely not going to see a huge turnaround on the live draws until later, I imagine that's gonna be a slower curve plus the economy right now being a bit shit.

Economy has been good actually in the US. The small markets could be part of the upcoming slow advances . The economy is not good...rents are crazy high, people are working 2 jobs to afford basic things. Disposable income is down by a huge degree.
