Taking wrestlemania as a 2 night package, t’s the main event of the night but it’s not the main event of the show so me personally I don’t consider it a proper main event It’s a main event in the same way that any other show that has two or three main events only really has one actual main event which is the last match of the show But it's not a 2 night package though. You need a separate ticket to attend each night.

Let’s be real, both nights of WM will be sold out the moment tickets go on sale, with absolutely no consideration for what the main event will be on either night. Being the last match on Night 1 is like being the 2nd main event of a normal show. For example, WrestleMania 7 had Warrior/Savage in the middle of the show with Hogan/Slaughter at the end. If they had 2 night Mania’s back then, then both of those matches would have closed the shows.
If you consider it a main event to end Night 1 then that’s cool. If you don’t then that’s cool too. It’s kind of a pointless debate though because you could end night 1 with Jinder vs Miz and the show would still sell out, so what does it really mean? I doubt anyone would argue that Miz and Jinder would have drove ticket sales in that scenario.

Seems completely arbitrary and stupid for it not to. It's still headlining a show that tens of thousands of people are in attendance for and it's not like only the last act on the last day at a music festival counts. This right here is how I’ve always looked at it. You have a couple music festivals that’ll have one specific headlining act but generally each of the three/four nights have an individual headliner. Just because you’re the last night doesn’t mean the most famous or best musician is playing, oftentimes that isn’t the case at all. I’d go a step further and say there have been multiple times where the night 1 main event could’ve ended up main eventing the whole thing. If they were really sure that would be the last hurrah for Taker, it wouldn’t make sense to have a match on after the conclusion of the boneyard match. That is a show closer and specifically designed to end like a tv show/movie. Bianca/Sasha would’ve been a gigantic longshot to main event but I could see a scenario in which WWE would want to do it for the historical purposes. Plus it was an awesome match. Stone Cold vs KO would’ve main evented the whole thing for sure. They hyped the shit out of Brock/Roman but this is SCSA we’re talking about. Sami/KO/Usos had no chance though. Really while it worked out for the best because it kept both nights from ending on a heel winning and it was a great match, it is pretty obvious that WWE only went with Sasha / Bianca as the main event because of the optics since the build itself was an awful afterthought and basically no one was actually excited about it.

It’s not passing them off as two different shows (Also only has Cody vs Reigns match billed on the cover too)

To say that the Night 1 main event is a main event is technically correct. The best kind of correct.
