The NFL wont be putting Watson on the exempt list at the moment. I suppose they have to go through their processes but this is the same league that only suspended ray rice after the video of him punching his fiancé in the head, and they couldn’t ignore it. The browns could however do something if it’s found that he didn’t disclose this incident to them when they signed him to that utterly ludicrous contract. Surely there was language in his contract to cover that given what was known at the time. And Ray Rice never got a 2nd chance in the league while Watson got another chance AND a monster contract to boot. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/article-13830931/detroit-lions-matthew-stafford-interception-stealth.htmlThis is a joke, right? Matthew Stafford has played in that stadium for over a decade. You mean to tell me people are this stupid? They are.

I didn’t know that the giants play the panthers in Germany this season. Those poor fans. Last year, the NFL exported two games to Germany, the first of which was an exciting Chiefs versus Dolphins game. And then the next week, it was Colts 10 Patriots 6 in one of the ugliest games of the year, a game so bad that it felt like a violation of the Treaty of Versailles. To be fair, when the game was scheduled Anthony Richardson wasn’t injured so there was a chance the German fans could have watched an exciting rookie vs a team whose coach specializes in making rookie QBs cry. It could have been very interesting. There’s no excuse for this season’s game though.

The newest allegation( to not get FAN in trouble) against the QB for the Cleveland Browns will cooperate with the NFL investigation. Also, her lawyer says there is “pertinent” video. That’s new.

Someone needs to forced Tua to use a guardian cap.

I get that injuries happen, but between his concussion history and his penchant for puking himself against good teams like we saw last night, giving Tua that contract was a really silly decision

Tua has already made a boatload of money and will get more from his current contract regardless, so he should be pretty much set for life and he can always go into coaching, QB seminars, announcing, or something else football related and get paid well.
I get that no one wants to be laid out on the last play of their career but hopefully he and his family sit down and weight the pros and cons and make a decision together. Sucks for Tua as I think he could have been a really good QB if not for the injuries, but dude is what 26 or so, it’s time to take care of the old noodle.

Tua's had 4 concussions in 5 years. That's nuts. Not surprised there's been a lot of chatter suggesting he should retire.

Not surprised there's been a lot of chatter suggesting he should retire. reminds me a lot of my boy andrew luck, even if all of that was due to our horrible GM at the time. the fans will be upset, it'll be extremely depressing but at the end of the day it ended up being the right call. i don't think it'll happen with Tua because he will want to go until he is broken for good but he really should consider it. go live life with your family loaded as hell and what's left of your head

It sucks for Miami to pay out $90m for a guy who should by all means stop playing football today, but he’s 26 years old with multiple concussions, he’s probably already going to have substantial issues later in life, it’s not going to get better

Tua Tagovailoa's situation reminds me a lot of Wes Welker's toward the end of his career. Granted, Welker was clearly on the back nine whereas Tua's career is presumably just entering its prime years, but there are similar hallmarks.
In the 2014 preseason, Welker suffered his third concussion in 10 months and people on television, radio, and social media were pleading for him to retire. Welker, though, opted to play in 2014 and 2015 and sought work in 2016 before officially retiring in 2017, although nobody came calling after an underwhelming 2015 campaign with the Rams.
Ultimately, it's going to be Tua's decision. But if there's someone whose advice he should take into consideration, it's probably going to be Wes Welker's, who just so happens to be the Dolphins' receivers coach.

I did hear that Tua had to leave the game but seeing as I was up 5:30am my time and so didn’t even entertain staying up.
edit: sorry I said what happened, which is sleep deprivation talking. I meant was it obvious he’d gotten a concussion straight away ?
