Andy Dalton gets the start over Bryce Young in week 3. It’s over. At this point they should have kept playing Young. He might not figure it out, but if he doesn’t you likely get another #1 pick out of it and are assured to be able to take a swing on a replacement. Dalton might win you too many games.

Not sure how good Young is but the team around him is ridiculously bad. Hes running for his life the second the ball is snapped he’s doomed.
Maybe Leggette turns into a player, but throwing to the corpse of Adam Theilen and what once was Dionte Johnson while trying not to get murdered isn’t setting him up for success

Isiah Pacheco has a broken fibula, out 6-8 weeks.
Kareem Hunt is coming into to visit, a reunion in the works.

Remember, Baker Mayfield looked terrible on the Panthers. Sam Darnold's looked much better since leaving the Panthers as well.
It's an inept front office who can't build an O-Line, and made a terrible trade to get Bryce, hampering their chances to put anything around him. And a coaching staff that isn't developing him. Bryce's confidence is getting wrecked.

benching Young while not having close to enough help around him to be successful is incredibly stupid, especially given the Panters gave up the farm for him

Deebo Samuel out “for a couple of weeks” with a calf strain. Niners having a rough one early on.

Andy Dalton gets the start over Bryce Young in week 3. It’s over. Bryce Young's career is far from over, but it's on uneven surface at the moment. He and the Panthers might need a change of scenery, more specifically to give Young a fighting chance. But this is a moment to look back on how the trade that landed Young in Charlotte might honestly end up as the worst trade in NFL history. In exchange for the right to draft Young, the Panthers dealt away DJ Moore, a 2023 first-round pick (Darnell Wright), a 2024 first-round pick (Caleb Williams), a 2023 second-round pick (Tyrique Stevenson), and a 2025 second-round pick. It's neck-and-neck with the 49ers trading three first-rounders to land Trey Lance back in 2021.

And he'll be inexpensive for the next 2 years because he'll still be on his rookie contract. Someone will give him a chance somewhere. Won't be in Carolina, that feels soured to the point of scorched for Young. They should just trade him and draft a QB with their likely high pick in the 2025 draft.

calling it early, Bryce Young gets traded to Cleveland and actually does pretty alright. he is ass right now, likely will continue to be with his limitations but I don't think any QB could turn this organization around right now.

Giants being 0-2 doesn't feel as bad when every other team in the NFC East is 1-1.

I don’t think that Bryce Young is an NFL QB…but I also don’t think that prime Dan Marino could get anything out of that offense.

The Panthers are such a dysfunctional mess from the top on down that it's impossible to lay blame at any one person's feet, let alone a young quarterback who has had no support around him since arriving in the NFL.
But if blame can be pinned on a single person, it's probably on owner David Tepper. Since becoming owner of the Panthers in the summer of 2018, the franchise has a record of 31-70, four last-place finishes in seven seasons, a cumulative point differential of -537, seven head coaches over seven seasons, and 10 different starting quarterbacks over that span. And there doesn't appear to be any signs that things are going to get better any time soon.
There's something to be said about knowing you don't have the right captain at the helm and needing a coaching or quarterbacking change to shake things up, but there's also institutional stability to be considered. Bouncing Bryce Young back and forth between starter and backup is going to do him no favors and it won't make the team any better in the short term or long term. The Panthers need to commit to a plan and stick with it despite how gruesome the initial results may be. If that means sitting Young, then so be it. But they can't give him a vote of confidence on Sunday, then bench him on Monday, and think that's going to benefit his development.
