Saleh was such a shit coach good DC great locker room presences but he wasn't even mediocre as a HC. Glad to see him gone and im glad the Jets were smart and gave the interim job to Ulbrich he actually deserves a shot

Saleh isn't a good head coach, but firing one 5 games in when you're 2-3 is such a Jets thing to do. He has the worst win/loss % in Jets franchise. And we've had a lot of bad years and coaches so it really speaks volumes about his performance

And Saleh was reportedly about to fire Hackett so yeah, this reeks of a Rodgers bitch fit. AGAIN.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Patriots are planning to start Drake Maye Sunday against the Texans.
Personally I would have waited a couple more weeks but I suppose they couldn't justify continuing with Brissett.
I hope this s**t offense doesn't mess him up or get him killed.

Were such a weak fan base here that we worry about worst case scenarios instead of hoping for the best and rolling the dice. Rookie QB, a couple rookie WR and a second year WR. Offensively it’s what you’d hope to see on any given week to get some hope for the future. I’m not ok with waiting for the Pats O line to look like the early 90s cowboys before starting him

I just wanted to wait a couple of weeks instead of throwing him against the Texans. But I their piss poor play has forced their hand. Believe me I’m hoping for the best.

And Saleh was reportedly about to fire Hackett so yeah, this reeks of a Rodgers bitch fit. AGAIN. Even more ridiculous; I just read a report that Saleh merely DEMOTED Hackett and was fired minutes later.

Wholly unnecessary. I don’t know how true this is but I was reported that woody Johnson had friends at the game in London and him being a former ambassador to the UK made it worse that they lost.

Idk if Saleh should've stayed coach this long but THIS being the thing that gets him fired is f***ing comical. Hackett does not deserve this amount of coddling, idk what anyone sees in him.

I’m not ok with waiting for the Pats O line to look like the early 90s cowboys before starting him I don't think it's unreasonable to be hesitant about starting the quarterback you've drafted third overall and designated as the savior of the franchise behind an offensive line that currently consists of: - The backup LT, who is the fourth different starting LT in the first five weeks of the season - The third-string LG, who was on the practice squad until week 3 - The backup C - A starting RG, who was signed to be the starting RT - The backup RT, who was claimed off waivers in the summer and started at LT for a game before transitioning to RT I'm not expecting them to become this era's version of The Hogs before you can start Drake Maye, but I'd definitely rather see there be some level of continuity on the offensive line, rather than the current musical chairs operation, before entrusting them to protect the future of the franchise.

Awful offensive lines are the death of franchise QB hopefuls. Don't want to see what happened to Andrew Luck happen to Maye.

Awful offensive lines are the death of franchise QB hopefuls. Don't want to see what happened to Andrew Luck happen to Maye. The Patriots' offensive woes this season aren't solely on the patchwork offensive line. Jacoby Brissett has been terrible, Alex Van Pelt's play-calling has been uninspired, the receivers aren't getting open, and Rhamondre Stevenson has fumbled four times in five games. But it all comes back to the offensive line. If they were able to offer some level of protection to Brissett, maybe instead of being terrible, he'd just be bad. Maybe Alex Van Pelt's play-calling would be more varied if he had an O-line he could trust to protect the quarterback. Maybe the receivers would have more than 1-2 seconds to get open before Brissett is running for his life. At this point, it would be organizational malpractice to use the top picks in next year's Draft on anything other than offensive linemen.
