Something different from songs with the same titles...how about songs that make you go...hey wait a minute. there are some famous examples but what are ones that have hit you. Here's a song by the band Pain called Party in my Head. A good song, but its soooo similar to another song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nl7sKwPQo4(i've put the video in a spoiler in case some people have really shit interent) {Spoiler} Can you guess what the other song is I think it sounds like? {Spoiler} its rocking in the free world any other examples?

Honestly, a lot of Green Day's catalogue fits the bill.
Brain Stew is Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4.
Hitchin' a Ride is Stray Cats' Stray Cat Strut.
Warning is the Kinks' Picture Book.
And those are just the ones I can think off of the top of my head.

First thing I thought when I read the thread was 21 Guns and ELO’s Telephone Line lol Deftones “Be Quiet and Drive” and Chevelle’s “Send The Pain Below” There’s this song I hear at work on occasion, “Black Horse and a Cherry Tree” or something like that by KT Tunstall, which is basically just “The Neutron Dance” by The Pointer Sisters.

Before I Forget by Slipknot sounds like Loco by Coal Chamber.
Teenagers by MCR sounds like Cigarettes & Alcohol by Oasis which sounds like Get It On by T-Rex.
Muse clearly rip off the end riff of Freedom by Rage Against The Machine on Reapers.
Paramore’s C’est Comme Ça sounds like Hard to Beat by Hard-Fi

I thought it was hilarious how much Linkin Park’s two Transformers songs sound similar.

This is probably the most egregious example The Original: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}
The (way more popular) sound a like {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}
Honorable mention Warren Zevon: Werewolves in London Kid Rock: All Summer Long

Honorable mention Warren Zevon: Werewolves in London Kid Rock: All Summer Long Kid Rock actually sampled Werewolves. However, Dexys Midnight Runners accidentally ripped off Werewolves with One of Those Things so badly that they gave Zevon a writing credit

The chorus melody of Dua Lipa's "Break My Heart" is totally a beefed up version of Stacey Q's "Two Of Hearts".

The chorus of Last Christmas by Wham! is very similar to Can’t Smile Without You by Barry Manilow.
Why Don’t You Get a Job? by The Offspring is pretty much Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by The Beatles.

The Smells Like Teen Spirit riff is lifted straight from More Than A feeling by Boston.

Any time I mention I am a Ramones fan I get told all their songs sound the same.
WRONG!! Lots of their known songs sound similar. But Love Kills sounds nothing like Cabbies on Crack. CensorsHit sounds nothing like The Crusher.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: Streets of Rage Intro} {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: Enigma "Sadness"} Yuzo Koshiro has sampled a lot of songs from different artists for the songs he did. If you listen to "Too Deep" (the song from the pitcher's mound elevator portion in SOR2), it's clear he sampled "Rebel Without a Pause" from Public Enemy. Also, "Fighting in the Street" (the first stage music from SOR1) used a sample of "Pump Up the Jam" from Technotronic. Here is my pick as I thought they were similar and both came out around the same time. Rachel Platten - "Fight Song" Kelly Clarkson - "Heartbeat Song"

I am sure I'm the only one, but if it comes on the radio, I can never tell if it's LA Woman by the Doors or Signs by the Five Man Electrical Band until the song really kicks in. I confuse the intros all the time. They don't sound that much alike.
